Lack of discipline in young people behind rising gang numbers, rehabilitation leader says
A gang rehabilitation leader believes a lack of discipline in young people is leading to a rise in the number of people joining gangs.
It comes as figures revealed to Newshub show gang numbers have increased by more than 50 percent in the past five years. The number of 18 to 25-year-olds joining gangs has jumped significantly, from 514 to 898 in the same five-year period – a 75 percent increase.
NZ is a funny place.
As a people we seem incapable of holding two ideas in our minds at once.
Take the ram raiding youth and the explosion in gang numbers.
Apparently this is happening in a completely different dimension from the rest of us.
Apparently the highest inflation rates in 30 years and exploding costs of food and cost of living have nothing to do with this.
Apparently the under funded welfare services that in some cases abuse the children they are supposed to care about have nothing to do with this.
Apparently the housing crisis, the inequality, the poverty – none of that has anything to do with this.
John Key’s legacy of throwing this kids out of state houses, living in cars, having their parents incarcerated in the private prison industry has nothing to do with this.
The post covid economy faltering has nothing to do with this.
The pressures that are causing quiet quitting, that are causing the great resignation, that are causing higher levels of mental anguish, that are seeing house prices deflate, that are seeing everyone else under stress.
That are seeing an explosion of abuse online, domestic violence through the roof and food banks being robbed.
But apparently not the most abused kids who turn on a system that doesn’t give a fuck about them, no they are responsible for everything in a special dimension which we have created where all the stress and pressures that are twisting everyone else in damaged ways has no role to play in their actions.
Oh no, for them we must have new police laws and powers and draconian responses.
For them we must be vengeful and allow all the pressure and stresses of the world explode down upon them.
We are all damaged and we are all struggling, we need to recognise that before demanding punishment.
I don’t think ew are anywhere near that place culturally, socially or politically.

The ‘trickle down’ policy of government just throwing money around at third parties who don’t seem to be doing a good job and in fact much of their advice seems to be sustaining further abuse and crime. Time government got serious, get rid of the right wingers and woke, and get some experts who are not political with race theory or neoliberals, and take it in house to turn it around.
The doctor/former chief scientist who worked out the fake meth levels is a good start – qualified and with the right perspective on trying to protect youth while not making money and politics out of it.
Baillie said the Government wasn’t doing enough on youth offending and “if you can do the crime, you can cop the punishment”. Pedophiles still have their pictures up on prominent school walls and many get a slap on the wrist, yet they destroyed people’s lives. Then we have a recent rapist who got home detention. And we have brutal violent murderers getting only 11 years when it was made mandatory back in 2003 that murderers serve 10 years. There are huge inconsistencies in how sentences are being handed down and it depends on who you are, what colour you are, your race/ethnicity and your, standing in a community. So much for the law being equal, what a load of fucken bullshit.
Like we did and are doing something about for all the old namely white pedophiles we have in our country many heeding from wealthy religious schools. These old men now have ruined peoples’ lives and how many years did we as country turn a blind eye to this.

When shit people have kids this kind of antisocial/criminal behaviour is to be expected. Nothing to do with inflation or the state of the economy. Everything to do with bad role models and hanging out with a bunch of like minded ferals who have no respect for tthe society they live in. May as well lock them up, sterilise them, and breed them out of society. I think its called eugenics.

The only difference – and it is minor – is that the ‘Pherals’ to whom I refer are members of an elitist gang – comprised of The Opposition Parties of New Zealand, the complicit media they stroke and several spin doctors who seem to be rather busy in Auckland.
