  1. It’s been abundantly clear Levy has been lying but it fit’s the narrative of Luxon and the Coalition of Chaos, slash and burn.
Meanwhile unemployment has skyrocketed and people are leaving this country in droves BECAUSE of this government and no, mortgages below 5% won’t win back the small amount of voters rabid right wing supporters think they will.

  2. Sadly we are on the slippery slope .I see people are pushing the private system but where do their patients end up ?in the public hospital across the road is the case in hamilton where the operation is done in the private theater then they are sent across the road to waikato hospital for after care .

  3. As I have been saying for the last 10 years our health and health welfare has not been looked at as a total picture but each part in isolation.

Both major parties are as bad as each other in this respect.

I agree with you NASC things are worse now than in 1990 because of that total neglect of both primary care and health welfare for long term illness by work and income rules .

Which is why my ACC based idea must happen .

It is the only organisation that has the ability to step up to the task.

The Green parties health and health welfare and ACC policies are already halfway there.

The Greens have been developing it for the last 10 years .

Are we ready to accept the ACCident compensation Levy must become a Medicare Levy which we all pay.

That Levy pays for non funded pharmac meds and GP visit costs.

ACC WAS MEANT TO BE DEVELOPED INTO A MEDICARE AGENCY in the first place back in 1967 – 74.

%2 years later it is beyond time it happened.

    1. And yet sadly Judith Collins got hold of ACC and instantly required it to make a profit. She instructed assessors to decline funding to clients under the terminology of “pre existing injury”. It was at this time we all knew she was an uncaring bitch. Later we got to see her lies with the famous raised eyebrow scene. So where do those profits go?

  4. Look at the first photo of Lester Levy.
Did someone fart close to him or did he see a hospital patient enjoying a cream bun?

    1. Nah, he just saw a hospital patient getting timely and appropriate treatment. Can’t have that.
The plebs are going to have to pay or die.

Looks like Reti was actually trying to do a reasonable job although thwarted at every turn by lack of investment. Now it will be open season on hospitals and their staff.

Levy looks sick. Gosh, I hope he’s not.

  5. Just more smoke and mirrors as the primary care model got ignored and neglected by both parties while New Zealanders were asleep at the wheel and didn’t give a damn.

  6. Some outlying comments applying to all known humans in the tech universe:
1 Can there be a small logo placed on the top corner of images of people or anything really, to say hand-on-heart that it isn’t an AI or photoshopped image; just one that has been snapped on a fast lens? That Lester Levy one is very telling but I wouldn’t want to think it had been made, was being used as a ‘live’ cartoon.
2 Can truth-telling, fact-finding journalists’ images be kept smaller so they aren’t so likely to become objects of maliciousness in public or at home!

And 3 I love that Murdoch cartoon. Haven’t seen Murdoch for a while so thanks for that opportunity. (I have stopped getting newspapers so it is my fault but I now get my news concentrated and for light reading have my chosen books amongst which I range like a groundhog looking for food or a hole, whichever.)
