  1. In the 1960s when computers were first coming to NZ, the information requirements of the hospital/medical systems were obvious for computer development. It was not possible for the separate hospitals to agree to a common development. They each wanted to go their own way, not the more economic combined way.

    1. Yes every DHB and Health sector is operating in their own silo’s.
      Along with a Dysfunctional winz with its culture of denying health related benefits no matter what until your health is so damn bad you are almost dead.
      Then you have Pharmac who have no idea of the number of prescribe unfunded meds every year who then ask for bullshit $ increases.
      Our whole health system from top to Bottom is worse than the USA according to the WHO.
