  1. Looks like I was right a few weeks ago when I said Luxon has sent Brown in to sack his best mate Levy because he has shown how full of shit he has been for years .Now brown is set to sell as much as he can in the next year .Why fund operations in private hospitals rather than fully fund all of our current operating capacity in the public hospitals .Waikato has closed theaters that were shut a few years ago and the new hospital at north shore is half empty and what is open is due to closing wards in the existing hospital so the capacity has not been increased at all .There is massive capacity right across NZ public system which is not being used because it is not funded which has been made worse by this sick government .
At least Brown is returning to the previous governments board model it just a pity there are no top people to fill those positions .We will just end up with a board of ex national party has beens like the dipton dwarf /

  2. How much money was wasted on Levy and his razor gang and how much damage was done to our health systems. This shows our current PM is not up to it with his abrupt and poor decision making. And to make matters worse his Minister of finance is not any better she is going to cost us hundreds of millions of dollars break fees (re- ferries deal) while damaging our good reputation.

  3. Interesting but local boards have one problem .That problem is they get stuck with the same people every 3 years and the odd new blood that comes along is quickly shut down and gone at the next election .An example was the old Waikato DHB that was lumbered with Ewan Wilson and a couple of others who were long term members whoes names escape me at this time (bloody dementia ).One was there solely to seek a witch hunt because his son escaped from the mental health unit and sadly passed away .The other was there to make up the numbers and was a career polititician all his life .They became so difunctional they failed to check properly and employed a non qualified person to lead mental health .Eventually they were kicked to the kerb and a commisioner was appointed .

  4. The only real justification for Little’s maniacal centralization was the cost of the disorganized IT infrastructure across DHBs, where most had independent policies producing incompatible systems. But there has been no real rationalization there, under Labour or National- just to essential administrators who are directly organizing things.

A serious government would send everything except IT strategy back to the DHBs, and set a target for the implementation of a NZ-developed, NZ-owned, unified system that would then be forced on GPs and other health service providers so that you- and the admin staff at your GP or specialist- don’t have to waste half an hour sorting out the transfer of data (often, only partially) from some other incompatible system

  5. Hi just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know
