  1. There is a battle on at the moment everywhere between ordinary members and management classes. It doesn’t matter whether the organisation or union is left, right, diagonal, or something in between, it just seems to be something of an emerging class struggle.

    So yes, fight hard, regain control of your union.

    1. I wonder if the unions will seek wage rises and other benefits if the tories get into power or are they in cahoots with the NATZ. They will probably wait for another Labour Govt to get in.

      1. Yep pretty much what happened last time although the unions were told to do more with less, it’s a National party thing.

  2. “Seek the truth from facts” as an old saying goes, and Grant has certainly provided much hard information.

    It would surely be daunting for an NZNO member to negotiate their way through that pile of wilful obstruction to genuine participation.

  3. “Six figure salaries for NZNO officers”-outrageous!! When the idea of paying board members was mooted when I was on the board, I railled against it, stating that “if the membership flew me out of the West Coast and put me up in hotel that I wouldn’t otherwise get to stay in then I don’t need to be paid!”
