  1. If our governments can bailout huge corporations and foreign companies like rio tinto they can bloody well give some of our land back. The problem with too many of our Pakeha Nzers is they only hear and see what they want to and many don’t care and haven’t bothered to look into our countries history. To make matter worse we have many foreigners here now and more coming wanting there piece of the pie. And with many of these new Nzers comes baggage and many take on board the bullshit about Maori being privileged when this is a load of bullcrap. The systems we have was set up for one people by one people to suit and advance one people. So if your a white immigrant maybe a pom you will fit in easily and more likely to be treated better to. If we were to do an audit on many top government jobs I bet we will find many white foreigners namely English immigrants now calling themselves Kiwis in these roles. So I ask how to we achieve fairness in our country when those at the top are only interested in treating everyone the same when we are not the same and never will be and when they don’t treat everyone the same but they think by ticking boxes they are doing their job.

    1. I believe a Maori renaissance should be 100% Maori owned and financed. Mathew Tukakaki Maori council wants an Iwi bank. Banks was invented to finance the energy sector. Just do it, do it all.

  2. Not just POMS now but SA, Americans but yep still white though, I’ve had to work for both poms and Americans and there is no difference between them also they have no idea about how to engage with Maori and have zero interest in learning about Tikanga instead they pay lip service to it by having “nga mihi” on their email signatures and branding themselves under a maori name but still the same old white system design going on.

“In January 2020, we warned of untold human suffering in a report titled World Scientists’ Warning of a Climate Emergency with more than 11,000 scientist signatories from 153 countries at time of publication. As an Alliance of World Scientists, we continue to collect signatures from scientists, with now more than 13,700 signatories. In our paper, we presented graphs showing vital signs of very troubling climate change trends with little progress by humanity. Based on these trends and scientists’ moral obligation to “clearly warn humanity of any catastrophic threat” and to “tell it like it is,” we declared a climate emergency and proposed policy suggestions. We called for transformative change with six steps involving energy, short-lived air pollutants, nature, food, economy and population. A short video discussion by thought leaders on the six steps is now available (see link).”

  4. SUV-owning, boat-owning, caravan-owning, “She’ll be right” New Zealanders are not suffering enough yet (if at all). And the people who are suffering are largely ‘invisible’ and have no idea what’s happening or why, Dave.

It’s going to take another year or two of catastrophic failure of the capitalist system before we see much political change in NZ, even though capitalism is failing on all fronts except transfer of wealth into the hands of those who already have far too much.

The dumbing-down/propaganda system gets back into full swing on Monday with the return of ‘Breakfast’.
