  1. A philosophical contribution, attempting to apply logic and reason in a philosophical context, while one may consider philosophy a form of “science” anyway, at least it is academic.

    1. No its not about philosophy nor is it academic.
Its about Marxism as a science and the method of testing that science.
Marx leaves philosophy behind having critiqued its idealist presuppositions in the 1844 Manuscripts.
Marx states the materialist presupposition of social science is that all human activity is grounded in material reproduction of life.
That is all the “philosophy” that the proletariat needs.
From that point applying science reveals how and under what historical conditions humans reproduce themselves.
      As classes in struggle mainly.
      And that is not academic.
Theory cannot exist separated from practice.
Lenin develops Marxism as a science by building a revolutionary workers party.
The party is the proletarian scientist that tests theory/program through the practice/struggle of the class conscious conscious proletariat.
