    1. Mike Joy’s latest release is an analysis of our food industry being destructive to the immediate environment and the biosphere.
      We have been trained to actively support this destruction.
      Our European settlers in the 1800s came from a lifestyle where a meal with meat from animals may have been eaten on rare festive occasions such as Xmas. They were poor and unused to eating meat.
      When arriving in NZ many accounts give witness to the surprise that meat could be eaten once a week.
      Now for many animal products including meat may be eaten several times a day.
      This is rank stupidity as health, the environment and our future are under attack from our newly adopted lifestyle.
