  1. Listening to my pakeha associates some who are right wing National Party supporters are so fucken brainwashed they blame everything on Jacinda even the state todays shocking NZ economy it’s Jacinda fault, but Luxon can do no wrong fucken pathetic

    1. It’s snobbery Stephen. They want to be seen on the ‘winning side’ and the side that ‘wealthy people’ vote for. They hope some of that will rub off on them.
I managed to score a hit with my very blue-voting cousin yesterday. She had not heard that hospitals could not hire people and poo-pooed what I was saying. They talk over you, have you noticed?
They do not listen and just keep ploughing headlong into the mud, in their rush to be the one to know best!!!!
She obviously doesn’t keep up with the news, yet she will shout people down without a moment’s thought.
      She went quiet after that.
I’m an old lady and that’s the second time I’ve been shouted down by other old ladies. Left leaning people seem to have more manners.

  2. More snobbery on show with these Michelin stars.
NZ does best when it doesn’t try to compete with long established standards for minor things like cooking or fashion.
When we stick to being kiwis, we often scoop the pool.
Why should we have to defend or adjust our standards to suit some nebulous opinion shaped on the other side of the world. People don’t come here to eat the same food they’d expect in Paris or London.
They come to be intrigued, informed and challenged a bit. We do that well.
Very few people give a toss about fancy food like that.
Let’s try to fairly feed all of our people first. That’s much more important and school lunches are far too important to be entrusted to a clown like seymour, the man-child with no parental or educational experience. But, he knows it all!

  3. I didn’t realise we actually had to pay to get these bastards out here to look at restaurants. Why can’t it be “user pays”? That’s what pre-much everything else is these days.

    1. It’s yet another example of how we always shoot ourselves in the foot.
      Snobbery knows no bounds.

  4. I hope the servo on the corner of K Rd and Ponsonby Rd gets a Michelin star for their steak and cheese pies…
