  1. Ridiculous. The FBI have nothing to do with organized crime. They are political police, subservient to the Mossad, the real stuff of which the horror stories about the Stasi or Gestapo are made.

  2. “Medium term, the meth trade will be impacted, long term, the CIA will start having a more direct role in shaping NZs foreign affairs.”

One hundred years on, Americas War on Drugs has yet to deliver any impact on drugs or drugs trade, so forgive me if I am being overly cynical, if I don’t believe that the FBIs presence will have any effect on drug criminality in NZ.

I suppose that having the FBI around to help track down anti-war dissidents and communist sympathizers to aid in Americas suicidal race to start a war with China, will only aid in encouraging the idiots in charge of our government, to make more stupid decisions that will destroy this countries economic, and democratic sovereignty.

  3. Why are they really here and why were we not informed or given a heads up on them opening an FBI office in our city. Our CoC government is pandering to the USA yet we still get a 15% tariff increase despite all the arrrrrse kissing.

    1. and they are supplying drugs to us as well so maybe we should slapn on 100% till it stops as the orange one is doing to mexico and canada because Americans just love phenanatyl more than meth .

  4. You want make this about the 501s.
I see it as a continuation of US corporate hegemony, of the style exemplified in NZ’s vassal status as enforcer for those that dared to tread on Hollywood’s toes in the Dotcom debacle.
We can now look forward to the FBI snooping on private business and political internal affairs of NZers, in order to identify and nullify any interests they identify as contrary to USA’s.

  5. and for our effort in bending over for Kash Patel our exports get hit with 15% US tariffs.

  6. Is that a fake rugby ball being passed by a fake politician to a fake peace bringer? Perhaps it is a fake chocolate rugby ball, hollow as so many apparently meaningful formalities in Kiwiland. I know – it’s all a sort of theatre-sports to keep us amused while our pockets get pinched; bums too possibly (but not by Harvey’s friends.)

  7. It makes perfect sense for the FBI, with its interest in organized crime, to stake out Wellington.

    1. The FBI will set up here already well-infected with CIA and NSA agents.

  8. Was this the great fanfare announcement of an announcement the Brooke prattling on about. Someone please post the address of their office, so I can moon them next time I’m in Welly.

  9. People use meth and other drugs because it fills a gap in their life, that’s what freedom of choice is all about and no law is going to stop that demand. While the FBI will help in catching the suppliers they will also prove useful when the project 2025 theocracy in the USA wants to expand worldwide. The concept that the USA could ever depart from the idea of religious liberty had seemed impossible for most of my life yet it seems inevitable now which is not a good thing.

  10. Since the appearance of subsequent that posts I’ve made, it appears to me as if an earlier comment of mine, that referenced CIA and NSA, can’t get past some sort of invisible filter.
    I won’t leap to conclusions.
Perhaps if I wait around for a few hours….

  11. This is all part of the US’s pivot to Asia and nothing whatsoever, to do with crime here. Why would they even care? We are of precisely no consequence, as you correctly point out.

The reality is the US is becoming what the UK is. Its trying to shore up it hold on its remaining assets, NZ being one of them to counter China. Which is a measure of their desperation , naivety and incompetence.

BTW the CIA are already in New Zealand.

    1. You are probably only half right but that’s enough to drive me to drink. What’s your potion?

  12. Eh! oot in them hill!s what a gift to expoit cost who says, your rules let us invest, other places, fuck, never
    l

  13. The Greens would have tried to stop them so another reason to make sure they do not get near to holding the reigns of power.
Their help in monitoring criminal organizations will be a big help in stopping drugs

    1. Another reason not to vote Nazi National…nek minute 15% tariff . Fuck Trevor you are so naive!

    2. You should worry Trev, come off your perch – they are sure to finger you eventually.

  14. It was only last year we were being told about the Chinese having undercover police stations in NZ to keep tabs on the their diaspora.

Now the FBI are here keeping tabs on who? May be the American survivalist bunker building billionaires in the south island!

    1. That guy who pushed his twink boyfriend out the window owns property around Lake Wanaka, actually.

  15. If the intention is to fight crime why is Patel making noise about countering China’s influence in the Pacific? (Mind you Patel is a wild eyed conspiracy theorist who refuses to say Trump lost the 2020 election).

    1. I can’t believe they let this Maga stooge into the country and gave him such cosy welcome. Any body who’s followed US politics over the last 4 years knows just how lethal he and his Maga mates sre

      1. But Walph we let him here, so doesn’t that provide the unarguable answer to your query, ponderings.

  16. Luxon has brought him in to rig the vote at the next election .Right now he will be looking for dirt on every politician who is not a national party member .
He will also be looking for a site for that Naval base in the Whangarei harbour

    1. Don’t know about that position as cyclone type weather patterns are said to be likely to sweep down the east coast. And would Whangarei be deep enough? Still that is connected with climate change which is all a sham, just like politics are. Probably just all blow off somehow.

  17. Speaking facetiously but so much for a government that in the lead up to the 2023 advocated to being Transparent and Inclusive.
We may as well take the movie Sleeping Dogs to be more of a reality than fictional.
