  3. Unless I misheard her, at the very end of the debate time Jacinda seemed to be making a commitment to re-forming the Welfare System. Yes, it is long, long overdue, but she did say something to that effect.

  4. This is abit off the beaten track of current news cycle analysis I admit, but wonder all the same:

    why would Jacinda, who had been running rings around the entire ‘right’ political media establishment ‘gotcha’ politics of the last Govt. term; back herself into a political corner, shooting herself in the foot with this plain categorical negation of a wealth tax ( which is also the natural and somewhat orthodox ‘Left’ instrument to shortfalls in capitalism ) right before the election – something She was quite up front about as what She saw as failing last election time b4 Labour’s better than expected result….because the Act guy is err…8%?

    Rather there is unprecedented Left opportunity for returns in this current phase of the Debt sine wave (national and globally) for the significant increase of Direct tax on economic activity with the highest associated deflation against the multiplying of value with stable price – IMO

  5. The best part of the debate was when Judith stated her whole party are behind her. What she failed to mention was that at least half have knives in their hands.

    1. Agree 100% someone with a bit of Empathy and no holds barred attitude is sorely needed.

      Along with Julie Ann Genter in the Health / ACC portfolio.

      Our Healthcare from the gp to our meds to our long term suffers welfare funding are worse than the usa.

    The Greens might also offer to halve their MP salaries and drive second hand Japanese cars to show solidarity to those struggling financially
