  1. You may be forgetting that for each person who leaves, families are fragmented and relationships weakened. With the family unit providing the stable core of society, the whole populace suffers from that loss of equilibrium as well as from the loss of needed talent and skills and is more easily manipulated by the “ haves”, to suit their own ends. Emigration isn’t the only factor which pans out as anti-family, so do extremist ideologies and divisive politics. This may be in keeping with WEF agenda.

  2. I just saw the grinning, gabbling, everything’s “incredible”, fool, on breakfast this morning and he’s….you guessed it ….blaming Labour…..

The lies are flowing from his mouth now with monotonous regularity and it is stultifyingly boring to listen too.

His reliance on trite National Party sloganeering lines instead of actually answering a question is making him look evermore incompetent…but…you can tell…that he thinks he’s great and doing an absolutely fanastic job.

Increasing delusional behaviour by a leader spells the beginning of the end…

    This guy’s got nothing…except delusion!

  3. Interesting how the government can just magic up $500,000 to give to some not very clever advertising company …

‘Yah just gotta go’!! ….is way more punchy than the clumsey…. ‘Everyone must go’ …which sounds like an evacuation notice.

The media ..true to form..dug out some obscure university professor to state that sometimes short sharp messaging can work….

That was the best and only line of positivity the media could find…
    and that’s what they played…

    The delusion continues…

    1. The success of an advertising campaign is that it gets people talking about the item advertised .This has been very successful over here and it can only be hope it has the same punch over in Australia.

  4. Record unemployment in the under 30s even while record numbers of that age group are leaving .Look kiwis have grown wings and can fly .There is going to be a massive problem if the economy turns a corner and we need more trade workers .If the government stumped up with 3 billion to build more state houses there would not be enough skilled people to build them which is the real reason behind the shut down of KO .I recently drove through a large subdivision in Hamilton where roads and pipes are being installed using the $38 million of KO funding arranged by the labour government .If that funding was not there there would not be a subdivision at all which shows which government was thinking long term .

  6. State of the country under the present govt = Sailing through a shitstorm with no idea of where to head or even acknowledging that there is a shitstorm.
State of the country if we were currently being led by the alternative = On the seafloor before we even managed to get through the opening karakia.

  7. No increase in real funding for health, education and Govt services, but….

We’re going to double the defence spend to 10 billion.

I’ll sleep safer at night for sure.

  8. This is a big one. I have tried to follow a line on why young NZAO are leaving this country. I’ve looked at the vanishing businesses under our ownership and the jobs we would have had instead staffed by immigrants from many countries to our lack. And how poor we are getting and look at perhaps why there is no drive to advance NZAO for we citizens so we can advance our conditions. I hope you can put it up so that people can see the thread going through the whole piece leading to the movement out from Aotearoa. Can we stop it? Have we the vim and heart to do it?

Why are young people leaving NZ – because they may as well go to the countries that are majority owners of our businesses and reaping the benefit of anything we manage to do here from the jobs that we manage to get.

I ask why we can’t get a decent offer from the paper mill owners in Kinleith and get real NZs behind a fund to do so with a Trust owning it. I’d put some in for sure if properly set up, no greasy palms.

    Oji Fibre Solutions
Around 230 Kinleith mill workers will lose their jobs after its owners today confirmed a proposal to cut paper production operations. The Tokoroa mill’s owners, Oji Fibre Solutions, told staff in November that they were proposing to cease paper production by June, moving to a focus on pulp…

Sooooo Have a look at what Angus Tait got set up. Would this be good? Who has the knowhow and the backbone to step in, and the time and the health to carry this through? And who will support this person and not undermine him or have a wife or associates who will undermine him??

Here is a breakdown of our once NZ owned Fletcher Building Ltd.
I have just found that Mico Wakefield the plumbing etc business is owned by them. It was once owned by Michael Hirschfeld a solid Labour supporter now RIP.
Here is his biography – what a man. As a young parent I felt sorry that there was no-one suitable who could be matched for a transplant and so save him from dying. It would have made quite a difference to NZAO as well as being wonderful for his family.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Hirschfeld
He suffered from diabetes which led to total kidney failure in 1995, forcing him to add daily dialysis to a regime of insulin injections.[4] His ill health was no secret and on his election as Labour president in November 1995, he announced if the opportunity for a kidney transplant were to arise, he would take it, no matter how inconvenient.[3] He died in Raumati on 5 January 1999 after he had been admitted to hospital in late 1998,

Now his business has passed out of NZ hands as part of Fletchers held by overseas holders with small packages spread fairly widely. and a large chunk – institutional.

  9. Grey Warbler. Don’t forget that Bill English deliberately trashed a whole generation of our young males as unemployable, portraying them as druggies and work-shy. That was wicked thing to do, IMO, and English did it to justify importing easily exploitable Asian immigrants and have a low-wage economy. An economy where even families with two or three incomes coming in, can’t afford to buy themselves a place to call home, if such were available, which they are not.

English did this when 18-24 year old male’ suicides were at their highest ever level, and nothing will ever change my opinion of English as a hypocritical nasty little sociopath masquerading as a good Christian and failing to be a good sort of anything. ‘Tis a pity he’s still lurking in the shadows.
