  1. Luxon says he will address Chinas human right when he meets the leaders there .He needs to look in the mirror and address the same issues he is pursuing right here and now .He is on a mission to oppress 20% of the population ,useing ACT and NZ FIRST to drive that oppression .That is his sole motivation for allowing them into coalition in the first place .He can say it was them not us once the NZ population finally catches on which is slowly happening .As the young girl in the tv add says slow to catch on around here .

  2. Dear Left Wing NZ,
You need to find an actually Left Wing party that cares (and will actually deliver real improvements to every day Kiwis, not just empty promises & hot air). Labour, as it is, will lose the next election, and then you’ll have an ACT/ National government. Sorry, but that’s the way it is. Don’t accept it, you deserve better.

    1. When will that next election be?

In about a year’s time when Luxon is even lower in the polls and looking even weaker in the eyes of the electorate he could be faced with a choice. A new election or step aside for Winston to shore up National’s center and finally become the first Maori PM. Winston is not going to remain part of a hated government any closer than a year out from the end of a three-year term.

  3. The male/female poll is meaningless because what is a woman?
Until the left recognizes actual reality they are going nowhere in this country.
The list of green MPs with actual mental disorders is ridiculous.

    1. The left don’t need to go anywhere, this coalition government is fucking things up so badly( and your right wing view of Labour, was that they were bad) the left will win by default.

      1. With thinking like that, the next election Labour wins might be in 2029, can you wait that long?

        1. Wrong Helen, completely wrong, National are destroying the very fabric of our once great country. You are very selective in your right wing thinking and the arrogance on display only reinforces the demise of this horrid government. They have split our country and it won’t be mended until we have a government that is socially inclusive. This will be 2026 if not before.

          1. Squeaky, can you honestly say Labour is the best it could be and New Zealand is quantitatively better for the 6 year of their rule? Really? If you could, we wouldn’t be having this discussion because they would still be the Government. It’s time to open your eyes and make Labour better, it’s what New Zealand needs. Wake the f up!

    2. You have a mental disorder. You think a dead Palestinian carpenter sits in the same room with you, and his father lives on a cloud on the sky. Because of that, you think that people should be told who they can and cannot sleep with, and what they should wear.

    3. So which way did National vote in terms of transgender issues? NZ First are the only dipshits who tried to make that topic an issue of substance. All the problems we face it as a country and you think that’s up there?

  4. Yes, it is on us and this because we are being led up the garden path, yet we still follow anyway. With information comes knowledge comes change – we clearly need to be better informed!

  5. CTU is holding meetings around NZ for delegates and members to discuss policy we want out of the political left. This must be applauded as Labour specifically needs to be held accountable. Firstly the leadership must change. Nine months and Hipkins did nothing with a 20 seat majority. Core union values need to be demanded like the right to strike, multi-employer bargaining and the need to conclude bargaining. FPA without the bureaucratic rubbish would also help those at the bottom of the earnings scale.
It seems to me that the Labour party is blaming a poor campaign but the truth is they did no transformative changes to child poverty, housing, health system and poor education stats.
This bastard government no has free licence to screw over Maori, the poor and reward the rich. We need to fight back now.

  6. Luxon thinks he will be telling China how to look after their human rights .How can he do that when he is trying to fuck over 20% of the population .Then he wants to suck up to dictator Modi so he can gain more skills in how to do that to us .

  7. It’s a pity that the only political party with any seats in Parliament with a patriotic anti-globalist and economically socialist vision is the Maori party, given the ease of with which the regime media can represent its policies as opposed to the interests of non-Maori New Zealanders. Labour and the Greens should look at coopting the Maori party’s very sensible economic and foreign policy stands- instead of what they do, which is promote neoliberalism + bizarre social innovations not seen outside Weimar Germany.

    1. Must agree with you there .If kiwis were not so racist they would have elected a Maori party led government .Their tax policy was by far the best yet bugger all would have bothered to even cast an eye over it .

      1. Firstly it is the TPM that is racist and the fact they wanted to destroy the simplicity of GST by removing it off certain items shows they have no perception of business costs. They did have some good ideas about personnal tax that has merit.
.Their overseas policy would have us with no friends to call on when needed

        1. what do you need from those war monger so called friends who really only want our people to fight the wars they start .Humanity is destroying its self faster than you think and your so called freinds lead the way .

        2. Yeah nah, right wing white parties are racist. TPM have never had issues until this fruit loop coalition came together. Evidence of this is Maori marching in unity in the streets. Now the environmentalists are protesting in the streets.
Funny your first though was cost to business not to people’s lives and social ills. Sums you up, no need to say more.

      2. I don’t think we can avoid discussing the elephant in the room, the extreme anti-human propaganda spread from all regime media outfits from RNZ to the NZ Herald to that ‘spinoff’ blog site. They all oppose socialism, they all oppose foreign policy patriotism, they all support zionist genocidaires.

  8. FFS, aside from pointing out the obvious in regard to this government’s well signaled intentions and current agenda, the bulk of this seems to be lambasting social media and algorithms.
What exactly are you suggesting the left does?
    Avoid using social media?
You’re joking! You might as well try to stop the tide coming in! Get real, and stop trying to emulated Cnut.
In many a previous post, you’ve articulated admirably the dozen or so planks the left need to continuously publish. All the left needs to do, is continue this line of attack. Each time the government adds another nail in its coffin, re-emphasise our message, and above all, re-emphasise the difference and whom our policies would benefit.
It’s only by showing consistency, that the left will bring an early end to the coalition of chaos.
If our policies, as have been articulated, are affordable, and attack proof, they’ll withstand any scrutiny and BS counter-arguments. If they aren’t, they’ll fail – deservedly.
So rather than tilt at windmills, let’s all of us organise and start the campaign. We have a bloody government to win back.

  9. Why is up to the left wing? How about centre or just basically not ‘total wanker’ folk? This government is a f’ing embarrassment. We have gone from spineless Labour to ideological shit that will take us backwards. A bunch of lying idiots with a few openly corrupt thrown in. Look at Seymour. His actual aspiration is to appeal to 15% of voters. That’s like admitting you are a complete c word. Sure it’s not a popularity contest but we all know he doesn’t give a shit about the majority of NZers

    1. what do you need from those war monger so called friends who really only want our people to fight the wars they start .Humanity is destroying its self faster than you think and your so called freinds lead the way .

    2. Seymour fails to understand he will not grow his vote because the number of rich pricks is getting smaller as they are now trying to rip off each other as the number of people in poverty grows the number of rich decreases .So his current level is where he will remain untill those few wake up and realise he can actually do fuck all for them

    3. It’s up to the Left, because everyone else is happy as long as house prices keep going up, the crims go to jail & the beggars don’t get in the way when you go shopping. If you want a better society, only the left can do & you need a better Labour Party to make it happen. Time to wake up.

  10. Nathan a workers party like the George Galloway has created in England less his right wing social conservative values. Will be interesting to see how Jermey Corban goes.
Failing that a Greens/Te Pati Māori coalition that dictates to Labour. We cant keep accepting the neo liberal crap Labour throws up.

  11. https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/519385/one-man-s-reality-of-being-homeless-in-wellington
    James:
“I’ve been offered housing dozens of times over the course of my life, and I’ve never taken it,” he said.
“A lot of people won’t, or they will, but because we have no real life skills – paying bills, cleaning up, cooking – you end up getting kicked out after three months anyway.
    “It’s like a vicious cycle.”
James said having a room, or a house, could also bring trouble.
“Other homeless people find out about it, and then all of a sudden, you’ve got 10 people in your house getting high, getting wasted, and it gets trashed, and you’re the one responsible for the bills.”

In summer, James sleeps in the CBD or on the waterfront. In winter, he sleeps in car park buildings.
James chooses to sleep in car park buildings instead of vacant buildings, like Pringle House or the Amora Hotel on Wakefield Street, because they have security cameras.
“They’re not watched all the time, but if anything was to happen to me, there’ll be some accountability for that.”…

Real life problems for real life people trying to simply live in a simple way. And some hints if you become homeless and hopeless and just have to look after yourself in the hellfare state of NZ. Take note because after THEY have cleaned you out that is all you will have left, your survival note. And the problems won’t be solved by just providing housing. And it has to be, if provided, suitable for the person using it.

It has to be accepted that some need to have white-washed concrete buildings with concreted interior walls and slightly sloping floors so they can be hosed out. No glass in the windows, shutters for night and bad weather, and insect screens for the day. There needs to be a central office with amenities, and secure lockers with cameras so that the useful needed possessions or even the remainder left from a better past life can be secure and available when they have to move on.

People aren’t just leaves blowin’ in the wind, but could in some cases seem more like snails carrying all their possessions with them, along with memories and survival instinct. A bit of pleasure, game of cards, a couple of beers sometimes would be good, and being able to smoke somewhere – allowed by a reasonable society not a bunch off stiff-necked puritans and prosy preachers. What are we saving ourselves for? If they get emphysema it just takes them earlier than some other unpleasant degenerative illness.

Expected to do some organised community work, pulled out in emergencies for some basic but useful job; expected to do something at least once a year and possibly build up to once a week, would be good and end up good for all concerned.
