  1. Get the feeling that global capitalism is teetering on the brink? Ten years? 20? 50? 100? Eventually surely. The captains of capitalism will eventually run out of bandaids. Not to mention the environmental pressures. Trouble is economics is such an imprecise science. Too many variables, too little deep understanding of consequence. Too much vested interest in the system.

  2. NZ is in trouble with these clowns in charge. We have sunk the ferries and will spend twice as much on a tunnel .Now the skin head gang leader has signed us up to go to war against china WTF we cant man the frigate and dont have a plane that can fly every day .

  3. Well Mike. The aesthetic left woke Kingdom won’t be getting there thilfy little hands on the reins of power no way

  4. I don’t profess to be as well read as Mike but if socialism means industry is run by public servants with no real skin in the game then I cannot see it ending well. All parties are guilty of using the control to win votes and make promises that are not necessarily good for the operation but good click bait or are just plain wasteful.
I believe it was said capitalism is bad until you look at the alternative

    1. As for public servants with no real skin in the game. Employees paid to run private companies also don’t have any real skin in the game.

  5. I remember years ago economists saying that we wouldn’t have recessions anymore. No wonder they call it the dismal science. It’s only in the last few years that they have come to realise the got their “psychology” completely wrong. Not to mention the traditional algorithms they borrowed from physics. Yet the neoliberals cling onto them like doors from the Titanic.
