  1. I will agree $3 is too small to do justice to a school meal but surely we need to explore why the lunch programme is even necessary. How can parents be educated to limit their children to a number they can look after with out help from the state.
    That may be just 1 or 2 but all children deserve to be well clothed and feed. I know life throws but curved balls and that is when the state should step in to stop the family from falling u til theycan get back on their feet..

Trev that is like telling the rich not to use too much water given they have more money and if we get meters (as some already have) who will use more water (that nobody owns) and the same scenario will happen with toll roads, who can afford most to drive on these new flash fast tolled roads, high paid people and the rich of course. These are equity issues. When you say that poorer or low paid people should not have too many kids that is eugenics. And if our government can help farmers and businesses who still can’t cope with droughts and disease outbreaks (risk management) and epidemics is that fair.
