The numerous allegations swirling over why Key really stood down and when they will finally come to light are questions everyone wants answered.

The simple reason why so many in the media are too frightened to talk openly about it (some have hinted) is because Key is a $200 million dollar man and he would sue anyone into the stone age for defamation if they even breathed some of the reasons he really stood down.

When you consider the bewildering new threshold for defamation that Jordan Williams managed to gain in the Colin Craig defamation case, only the criminally insane would attempt to publish what is out there.

Cough-cough this story is interesting though…

This Haven for Billionaires Has a Murky Trust Issue

A flamboyant Malaysian financier linked to an international money-laundering probe has laid bare New Zealand’s surprising appeal as a destination for the ultra-rich to park their wealth.

Family members of Low Taek Jho, who is suspected by U.S. officials of diverting money from 1Malaysia Development Bhd., are beneficiaries of New Zealand trusts holding $265 million in assets including a Bombardier jet, a luxury Beverley Hills hotel and a penthouse in the Time Warner Center in Manhattan, according to court documents. The family is fighting the U.S. Justice Department’s bid to seize the assets. Jho Low has said he provided consulting to 1MDB that didn’t break any laws.

The case has shone a spotlight on a multi-billion dollar trust industry in New Zealand that allows foreigners to hold assets with minimal disclosure.

While Prime Minister Bill English’s government has committed to tighten rules around trusts and legislation is before parliament, the opposition wants it to do more to safeguard the image of a nation that tops global transparency rankings.

Let’s just think about that – the PMs lawyer contacts the Minister, citing a private conversation he has had with the Prime Minister, to stop a crack down on foreign trusts and lo and fucking behold, 5 months later Todd McClay spinelessly does what John Key’s lawyer wants.

Key has built a tax haven, was instrumental in personally intervening in 2010 to create it, had his lawyer lobby the Minister to stop any crackdown and then gets caught out benefiting from the very trusts he’s helped build.

…why do you think the Panama Paper hackers gave John Key so much attention?

  1. Well if you seriously thought that The John Key was a trustworthy individual (as opposed to an utterly corrupt bankster and corporate stooge) then you just haven’t been paying attention.

    1. That’s a mute point when the Key voter is scared of losing there property and super values. Nobody wants to get there head out the trough and become more sophisticated investors. That’s just lazy

    Next we will see “The Bilderberg Group” (who have many times been allowed to break “The Logan Act,” will equally follow suit & have him placed onto their steering committee since he is now “a free agent”.

    Talking about “The Logan Act “how cynical it was that under Obama administration that his Government Members frequently attended the Bilderberg meetings in secret and were never sued by any court in the US for their violation of the Logan Act then!!

    But now we see the same former Obama administration trying to sue a nominated Trump Senator Flynn for a position in his administration for “allegedly” speaking to the Russian’s before Trump won the Election using the same Logan Act the Democrat’s themselves violated each & every time any of the many Obama administration members attended every yearly Bilderberg meeting’s over the last eight years???????

    People need to be answerable and accountable for their actions … this is why we have a court system and not the law of the mob.

    And if its good enough to viciously set one millionaire up to fail using ones position and attempt have him extradited on spurious legal grounds , – then its good enough to recall another to answer certain questions about just what sort of involvement they had in certain dubious practices. Especially when one has held the highest office in the land.

  5. Key’s image was almost a manufactured script. It seemed so phony although the Herald pimped it faithfully.

    Wasn’t his nominal wealth set at about $50 million based on focus group think or similar, because his image makers concluded any higher and he became less and less trustworthy? And I would venture that conclusion was deadly accurate to not trust a man self absorbed with his own personal wealth creation.

    $200 was a more realistic wealth level but for a man in his late 30’s when he became an MP without having created anything or being behind the creation of something intrinsic, like Bill Gates etc and of use to mankind it really made one think what did he do and what was he willing to do to become so personally financially wealthy so quickly.

        How do these bankers make millions of dollars without actually manufacturing anything, asset bubbles like the Auckland Housing Market benefit the wealthy and the bankers, and enslaves the rest of the community to them. We are heading back towards feudalism?

          2. Bitcoin is on track for the third year in a row at best performing currency because central bankers are so shit. Nature has funny ways of creating winners and losers, the losers being bankers. So that’s slowly undermining central bank policy but we need something a bit more, like jail terms to fast forward all this. That will send their Orpheus’s in reverse. Tbh I’d prefer if they all just jumped

      Besides even if anything came out about Key, it would have no impact on the next election, do you think national party voters have morals?

  9. A couple of times in the past few days I’ve seen oblique references to some sort of bombshell about Key.
    In the circles I frequent there are no rumours rife, no swirling of allegations.

    Who wrote the Stuff 19, “There will be one more political bombshell in 2017 that will change the course of the election and install Andrew Little as prime minister”?
