  1. Well said Martyn – another excellent paper.

Pity those in power lack either the competence or compulsion to read, let alone, contemplate (or heaven forbid actually act on ) what is rapidly becoming an irreversible downward spiral for the planet.

Maybe those in power believe in End of Days and Armageddon – and are actually facilitating the status quo as a “means to an ends” with Luxon as the messiah!?!

  2. We should look to America for environmental leadership what with their military juggernaut, their million oil and gas fields and their fetish for undersea pipeline rupture. We need to examine population growth and optimize global production and supply to benefit people, environment and economy. Sustainable solutions shouldn’t be as bad as their industrial antecedents. We should demand dairy and deforesters and intensive greed miners be held accountable for their waste rather than burdening individuals with eco-guilt. Science needs to drive change and emotion should motivate and inspire.

  3. Will, I see the new Government has already received international recognition and has been awarded the first “Fossil” award, for their outdated and revisionist fossil fuel policies. We’ll done National, not to worry, I doubt overseas prospectors will be interested, as NZ appears to lack economically viable deposits. Demonstrates what a dinosaur mentality National has.
