  1. “Out of touch”? What a f’ing douche bag. ACT just confirmed they have not one person on board who isn’t a complete arsehole.

  2. Seems like a reasonable plan to me. Based on recent examples, especially one at the Northern Club, our judges don’t have very good judgement.

  3. There is so much evidence and increasing by the day, that climate change is happening and the outlook is getting grimmer by the day.
Don’t these right wing polies have – or hope to have – children, grandchildren?
Don’t they give any thought for future generations?
Ah, of course it is all about money and possessions now – bugger the future!
Assuredly, with that attitude, our future, and so many more billions living on earth, will be buggered, really buggered!

    1. @Verity Verdant – 100%. Totally agree and well said.

Mark Cameron and people of his ilk make these moronic unintelligent and uneducated comments in a manner of self-assuredness, even though international climate scientists say and prove otherwise. But then, such is the uninformed mantra of the conspiracy theorist right wing narcissistic Trump acolytes.

  4. Bernard Hickey commits a grave error in describing Cameron as a sceptic.

Cameron is a denier, and true to deniers he spends his efforts on ignoring the overwhelming evidence that doesn’t support his pre-supposed position and instead cherry-picking and amplifying anomalies and fostering doubt to lay groundwork for denial of fact.

Denial of fact and refusal to acknowledge the aggregate strength of all scientific evidence for a Scientific Theory [qualification as theory the closest thing to certitude the scientific method can get) is not scepticism. It’s mere contrarianism.

  5. You proved the point in regards to your selective facts there Xeno.

    Lomborg was NOT a scientist.

In the early 2000’s after his spell as the advisor for the right wing government his book, his ‘charlatan’ claims were debunked and he was found guilty of scientific dishonesty.
” Lomborg is accused of fabricating data, selectively and surreptitiously discarding unwanted results, of the deliberately misleading use of statistical methods, consciously distorted interpretation of the conclusions, plagiarisation of others’ results or publications, and deliberate misrepresentation of others’ results.”

Try his latest contributions twenty years on …. he’s changed his mind. Fancy that !

  6. This guy is literally what is much of the problem with the world. He is so convinced that who he is and what he does is the pinnacle of humanity, he cannot in any way shape or form cognitively assess criticism of farming. He cannot accept any evidence about how farming is bad. He’s like a fundamentalist Muslim or Christian, so weeded to their belief and faith that nothing can move them. Regardless of the mountains of evidence this man’s brain is now a closed loop, unable to see anything outside. A very poor choice for a leader.
