  1. He should never have got his firearms licence. This process is very rigorous and was very poorly managed in this case. I have been through it twice recently and there is no way he would have got through if it was done even remotely well.
“So how do you know Brantan?” “Through a chat room” “What chat room?” “aaaahhh I cant really say” “have you ever met him?” “aaahhh no do I need to have?” “his posts seem good ay”

  2. This is just one more example of a plethora of shams and scams and cover-ups that characterise politics and the inept and inefficient bureaucracy that pretends to govern NZ but is actually a parasite on our backs.

Never forget the first rule of government, whether it be central government or local government: No Accountability.

No Accountabilty is accompanied by Deny, Cover up, Pretend, and the really useful one, Refuse to Answer [on the basis of ‘national security].

These are tried and tested methods for keeping the proles in their place and keeping the trough filled for the members of ‘the club’.

As for ’30 years from now’, that would be 2050.

Well, let me see: NZ certainly won’t exist as a nation 30 years from now -the banksters global Ponzi scheme is imploding as I write and global extraction of oil is well past peak -which will eventually bring down the entire industrial system- and with zero action anywhere on the planet to mitigate or prepare for Planetary Meltdown, it is unlikely much of NZ will be habitable for humans mid-century.

    Daily CO2 (CO2.earth)

    Nov. 27, 2020: 414.19 ppm
    Nov. 27, 2019: 410.58 ppm

The only questions for me are: how much longer can this farce of a political-economic system keep functioning? And how long will it take for the majority of the populace to wake up to the fact that they are continually scammed, exploited and lied to?

Don’t answer the second question; the answer is too depressing.

  3. You are not allowed to know that none other than Saint Jacinda of the head veil and Mike Bush of the serial clusterfuck oversaw changes to vetting of gun license holders where vetters were made redundant and more was done online, ditto for online gun sales.
Repeat warnings were made from gun owners that this was a bad idea.
Then the police failed to apply the actual law when licensing Tarrant.
Then the Police failed to act on repeat alerts to Tarrants behavior.

    Then the Atrocity happened.

Then the most transparent government ever scapegoated gun owners shamelessly, using the police association and minister Nash to lie about gun statistics ( giving figures that were ten fold worse) in order to achieve a long standing goal of strict gun control.
With threats and bullying and changing the rules constantly many guns went underground.
Many many more will after registration is forced on people treated shabbily and having basic rights taken from them ( rights to silence, search warrant, medical confidentiality etc)
Making it harder to own and use guns legally and with harsher penalties for licensed owners but allowing gangs to grow more than 30%, a huge grey market for guns is now creating a gang gun violence problem that will grow.

Then they started a royal commission specifically excluding changes to gun licensing and buried any evidence for 30 years so no one was held accountable.

What happens next is hundreds of thousands more guns go underground and armed violence gets worse.
This was so stupid and predictable that it us surely possible this is what the cops wanted – to have their excuse to arm themselves which is their end game.

No accountability for police- restriction of civil liberties to make population more docile – armed police force.

If you reading this don’t care cos guns bad, just remember it’s brown people who are mainly the perpetrators and victims, and we are all less safe.

    1. Well said that person . The increase in gun use by criminals shows there are still many guns out there. I believe they only spent half of what they predicted to spend on the gun buy back . The whole process lead to the rise of Act and depending how they perform over the next 3 years could join up with National to take back the reins of control.

  4. Unbelievable action to lockup any public accewss to this case for 30yrs????

Is that to exclude any living grown individual today time for them to die before thew case is made public????

This is un-believable as Labour siad it was open transerant Government. This does not reflect well on current policy and shold be foced to reduce the time to 7yrs as is most privacy rules now.

  5. Acronym salad here is a paper tiger; appears powerful, but incompetent.

Considering their effort in covering their behinds, will they make an effort to learn from their shortfalls? Doubt it.

If anything, that lot is fertile comedic material. An unsuccessful living version of Get Smart.

  6. The biggest threat to this country is the Asian Crime Syndicates and the Local Gangs who are distributing Methamphetamine and other harmful substances which are causing the breakdown of society here in NZ IMHO ???

  7. This alphabet soup of intelligence agencies should do their job, start with tracking down who is sending threats of physical harm to reputable peace-loving blog sites

  8. Glad to see you flagged Nigel Latta, one of the biggest creeps in plain view IMO and whom I would not trust my cat with for a training session on how to lick.
