Martin and I visited the West Bank and Israel 4 times, in 4 consecutive years starting in 2009 , taking part in ‘alternative tours’, run by the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) and by Joint Advocacy Initiative (JAI). It feels like a long time ago. The present situation is so very much worse.
March 30: Day five of living in lock-down…
When times are tough, as they are now, people are more open to sharing and working towards the common good.
The 1980s called, they really want your jacket back.
Todays gratitude – shout out to the Dairy Owners who are providing the glimmer of normalcy, who are opening every day without the protective clothing or back up of extra workers, who are our focal points in now empty communities. Their smiles never meant so much.
Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.
4 weeks lockdown is not going to be enough and we need to start admitting that so citizens are prepared.
