The truth that the NZ Left have to confront is that both Labour and the Greens don’t have the intellectual ability to counter neoliberal economics.

The question then becomes, what will the Left we do about that?  Will we continue to vote for parties who pay lip service or look to other political vehicles?

Those questions are now being asked. 

I believe one could argue that the Pride Parade Board, who turned last years pride parade of 30 000 attendees into a mere 2000 this year with their woke exclusion ideology caused far more damage to the rainbow community than an Instagram post by a rugby player.

Jacinda is great when you need hugs and smiles and warm snuggles, she’s crap when confronting neoliberalism.

…I’m not an expert in national security or the hunting for alpha predator white supremacist gun nuts, buuuuuuuuuuuuut don’t white males aged between 20-40 with semi-automatic weapons who decide to shoot those guns during the 2minute National moment of  silence in the wake of a white supremacist terror attack which mass murders and maims 100 Muslims kinda fall into a category that should investigated?

This is the kind of middle class woke identity politics crap that only ends up alienating voters – climate change is an existential threat to our species and you want to waste time on limiting free speech?

Judith Collins will wait for Bridges to crash out in the 2020 election before she strikes.

Pilger’s incredible critique of the Assange issues makes for fearful reading. If Jacinda wishes to stride the International stage with real purpose and mana, she should offer Assange asylum as a direct stance of independence for NZ and as a defender of journalism and free speech.
