Ever since Parliament freaked out and knee jerked over the Psychoactive Substances Act and refused to advance the regulatory process because of a backlash to animal testing, they drove the entire market underground and the resulting 45 deaths a year are the result.
Our politicians have blood all over their hands, and what are they doing about it? Why they are bickering like pathetic little children over who can be the toughest on crime…
Committee unable to agree on penalty change for synthetic cannabis
A bill by National MP Simeon Brown proposed increasing penalties in the Pschyoactive Substances Act to from two to eight years.But in its report on the bill the Justice Select Committee said it cannot agree on whether it should and it will now go back to the House for debate in October.
The committee agreed synthetic cannabis was causing significant harm but it had also received advice that “stronger penalties does not necessarily produce a deterrent effect.”
…FFS, we wouldn’t even have this bloody problem in the first place if Cannabis was regulated!
We are a juvenile country with the intellectual maturity of a can of day old coke-cola. Normally that would simply provoke a sniggering contempt but this colossal clusterfuck of incompetence and ignorance is causing deaths every single month.
We should be ashamed of our political leaders and their cowardice. The only way we finally break these pricks is by taking the power into our own hands and voting for a legalised cannabis market in the looming cannabis referendum.
Everywhere overseas where real cannabis reform has occurred, it’s been people power trumping the cowardice of politicians, we must forget hoping that our MPs will grow a spine and simply make them irrelevant in the debate by voting in huge numbers to demand cannabis reform.
Then and only then will we see the dawn of justice.

If you think legalizing cannabis will make synthetics go away then you are either very naive, or very mischievous!
Not even remotely do we have the mental health system for the negative byproducts psychoactive drugs bring, much less making it even more widespread.

I blame peter dunn for this he let synthetics be sold legally in some of our small and poorer communities this is dunns legacy and he should be ashamed. The synthetic shop that was in Naenae Lower Hutt was about four feet away from our kids playground bloody disgusting.
Pot never killed anyone, but Politicians have killed millions this century alone, vote full legalization for an end to Opium Addiction in the elderly, Synthetics are a crime against the youth of the nation, cancer can be defeated using cannabis oils, dont listen to Main Stream Media, they are spreading the usual lies and propaganda.
