Todays latest Taxpayers’ Union Poll has:
National – 39%
Labour – 33%
ACT – 10%
Greens – 8%
Māori Party – 3.5%
NZ First 2.9%
Winston is in striking distance, Māori Party could be queen makers, National and ACT just short of a majority.
The victory lap National are hooning the family car around the carpark for in celebration of is a tad early.
2023 will be won at the margins and lost in the middle.

I like a bit of cynicism
Disagree completely that the 2023 election will be close (assuming status quo). I think the Hamilton West By-Election gives a pretty good idea where this is going (especially given it was a Labour seat). Expect a 30+% swing against Labour in 2023.

Hamilton West was NEVER a safe Labour seat. 2020 was a wild exception for the whole country. Get real!

Labour will not (ever) be forgiven for forcing it through.
They cannot win back the support of those they have alienated.

The right-wing want to sell water rights, to make themselves and their uber-rich mates even wealthier. They will “polish the turd of water privatization by offering shares to “Mum and Dad investors
But, those of us that don’t want to boil our water; those of us who want to swim in lakes rivers and beaches; those of us who don’t want to pay exorbitant water rates would back 3 waters.
