  1. If Labour was still in power there would still be a construction industry, new capital infrastructure projects already built, wages would be up, house prices would be up, tax collection would be up and debt would be down. Commentators would have been calling Babara Edmonds a rock star economic manager. Instead we have debt up, homeless up, unemployment up and young workers buying plane tickets.

    1. Yes Joseph and we would have our ferries this COC lot are destroying our country especially Wellington we won’t be able to afford water soon.
Too many dummies fell for all the CoC spin.

  2. I would be very surpised if ACT are on 10%….. more like 7.5%…

How some ‘commentators’ and an ‘economist’ can say that Willis is doing a good job makes you wonder … A) If they are even qualified to comment and B ) are they actually really paying attention to what she has done…

With the worst news yet to come expect National to be polling around 23% pre election….

They certainly cannot use a global catastrophy as an excuse for causing high inflation, high unemployment and high debt ….

Labour were castigated by those idiots over the fallout from the global killer Covid Pandemic catastrophy for such results… although they kept businesses afloat and unemployment down….

The Coalition of Possum in the Headlights have already let those metrics get out of control with no chance of reigning it back in.

    1. Yes Grant some of our media are praising up Nicola yet she’s shown she’s incompetent and a major spinner. And where are our ferries? by the time we get them Winstone could be dead. In the meantime the foreign owned Bluebridge ferries they praised up as are also suffering from old boat issues. The sooner we get rid of the CoC the better.

    1. Yep and we need to ensure they vote but I think a lot of left wing commentators are overstating how many of those voters who have fled to Australia are labour/green when with the nats nuking the construction sector all I see is thousands of builders and tradies who vote nat/act/nzf who have to Australia.

I wonder if the tens of thousands of tradies and builders who have fled NZ will be voting, if they are nat/act/nzf, hopefully they don’t 😆

  3. You seem to take it for granted TOP will go with Labour. Reading their policies does not indicate any real preference but I accept you may have more I formation than the general public . It is a shame National is losing support but those votes are going to NZF and Act .At a critical time like this we cannot afford a Labour Government coming back in power .

    1. What drugs are you on!!!…

Have you not seen how Nikki – no- boats, Luxon and Seymour have, in under 2 years, managed to own-goal indebt the nation and soar unemployment rates …and that was before Trump enacted this brain fart of an idea to attack Iran.

      1. The Coalition took over a damaged economy. It took time to turn the ship around .Unfortunately Trump’s escapades have damaged the World economy and history will record he was one of the worst Presidents ever

        1. If you’d like a nautical analogy, NACT took a ship that had taken on water due to global events, the pandemic and the resultant inflation were global issues that economically we managed pretty well. In terms of inflation we peaked lower than 70% of OECD nations, so it is completely disingenuous to say that Labour caused it. If anything, it was the actions of the conservative, not politically aligned Treasury, who by law cannot be instructed to do anything by the government, who slowed our recovery. In 2023, this ship was starting the bilge pumps, and then Nicola Willis came along and smashed a hole in the bottom with an 11 billion dollar unfunded tax cut, along with a whole litany of austerity measures that killed all economic growth, and destroyed our constrution industry. They proceeded to focus on policies completely unrelated to cost of living, like the treaty principles bill, re-naming agencies from Te Reo to English, and other such right wing virtue signalling. Also, the spent 630 million dollars on zero boats.

        2. Oh so the narrative has shifted from Labours fault to Trumps fault? Fuck you are so sheltered in your pea brained thinking and typical of the righties of taking no responsibility 7 months from the end of the worst term in a governments history. National are tanking support because they are fucking horrid. They took a ship that was in the throws of being resurrected( like the ferries) and completely sunk it. We cannot afford to ever have another right wing government in power again as time and again they destroy an economy.

        3. How’s that, “the economy is on the right track” mantra going that you have been wanking on about for two years Trev?
          Rhetorical question.

    2. If top has to choose between a minority coalition with labour supported by the greens vs a four way coalition with anti climate change, pro oil pro neoliberal national, act, NZ first (who all hate each other) the choice is really easy for a centerist environmental anti neoliberal blue green party.

Top can work with the greens on environmentalist and universalist policies but it can’t work with act or NZf on much of anything
