  1. DAVID PARKER READY TO SIGN TPP-11

David Parker indicated on RNZ this morning he is ready to sign TPP- 11
and is rushing through the foreign buyers legislation which will not be able to be passed if TPP is signed first .

    1. But before he signs it ,where is the new national interest statement and the public discussion about its current financial viability ?

    2. Old TPP was in theory to generate around 200 million yet with the US out one would think this figure is now considerably less .More secrecy .

News Hub last week revealed that a 10c per ltr royalty on premium export bottled water would raise around 9.6 billion dollars in additional govt revenue over the next 3 years which is a staggering amount of money and far far greater than any projected revenues from TPP, but according to MFAT the Govt is unable to apply any royalty because it breaches the Korean FTA/ Chilean P4 ,and TPP-11.

Giving up 9600 million of water royalty for 600 million of new trade is just plain stupid .

You could give 600 million back to exporters for loss of sale opportunity and still be 9000 million in front.

    3. Once the deal is signed by Parker it may then go to select committee for public consultation but unlike normal legislation which may be altered and improved by expert submissions the FTA -TPP 11 deal will have already been signed off with the exclusion of further changes . Therefore any public ” consultation ” under Labour will be as hollow as Nationals select committees on Original TPP .Utterly mock democracy .

    4. At the root of this problem is the entrenched attitude of MFAT , which clearly stands for Mother F***ing Arsehole Trolls .Jane is right we need a complete a completely new model for trade .

    5. With NZF and the greens less keen on TPP-11 , Labour abandoning its coalition partners and voting with National to pass TPP may place considerable strain on Jaccindas administration further down the track , not to mention the alienation of the 70% of Labour voters who don’t want TPP in any shape or form .

Anytime I hear the National Party praising Labour for championing the TPP I become deeply concerned .After Jaccinda signs it ,I wouldn’t be surprised that when she unzips her Jaccinda suit , John Key steps out .

Sorry Labour , your looking like National Lite .

    1. STRYPEY thanks for this,

I am sure that NZF will be pulling strings behind the scene there STRYPEY, but thank you for keeping this issue alive for us who are currently being “diverted away by attack dogs from national trolls at the time.

(another deep state Natz diversionary tactic we assume)

  2. I agree with you on a number of broad points, in a sense we have to go against the nature of money, actively, to divide the pie more evenly. Parker must tear his hair out as official advice follows the money and is largely useless to him. The nation has to dig deep and we have to move away from the National party vision of the country as a big farmyard.

  3. I recommend and nominate Prof. Jane Kelsey as best qualified and informed prime candidate for a role as Senior Trade Negotiations Advisor to the new government. Mr Parker, give this some sincere consideration, and get back to us in 2018.

    Thanks and a Merry Christmas

  4. Why is Jane Kelsey not a key economic and trade consultant to the new government?

Many, many thanks Jane Kelsey for your enduring resistance to our damaging trade policies.

You are one of our national treasures.
