As we finally approach Level 1 – here are what the rules must be for the border

We are finally inching closer to Level 1, but the enormous sacrifice we’ve all paid here to stop this bloody plague demands an obligation on the Government to be shockingly efficient at the borders.

We can not go back into look down so we must have total control of those borders and there must be eye wateringly strict conditions to enter the country.

1 – Mandatory 14 day quarantine for everyone coming into NZ. 

2 – Mandatory tracking for a further 14 days after that.

It doesn’t matter who you are, returning citizen or permanent resident, migrant worker, international student, tourist – who ever you are, it’s 14 days mandatory quarantine plus 14 day Mandatory tracking after that first 2 weeks.

Anyone with symptoms won’t be allowed to fly to NZ.

Travel bans from Covid19 hotspots should remain for anyone other than citizens and permanent residents.

These strict border conditions must be merciless and enriched ruthlessly because if this damned plague gets into the country the sacrifices we made will be for nothing.

Jacinda MUST be ruthless at the border because if it is her kindness that gets blamed for a border breach, voters who applauded her will turn on her.
