  1. Illuminating post
It really does seem like an attempted bribe/threat rather than “settling out of court” which would also entail confidentiality clauses?
Bill English didn’t look good under the spotlight, he looked downright shady

  2. By swearing Glenys Dickson to secrecy, it meant that all the other parties who were listened to didn’t know they had been recorded and so were unable to seek justice either.

Now there are a whole lot of people down in Gore who are wondering if what they said had been recorded and, if so, how many other people heard the tape, been told the contents of the tape or read a transcription.

Who has Todd Barcley played the tape to or reported the contents of the tape to or shown people transcripts of the tape? Surely any publication of those tapes must be a crime also?

Surely Bill English (and all the others who knew) is an accessory after the fact once he had been told the contents of the tape and how they were collected but then failed to report the crime to the police.

  3. Welcome to corrupt Government in NZ!!

Inappropriate and corrupt procedures are rife in this current administration and a new Government must root them all out and destroy them all.

    1. Yes, CG, you are onto it, but the sad truth is, the few that know this or who have even experienced it in their own affairs, they are too small in numbers, and like us, commenting here, are simply ignored by the vast majority of the ‘hard working Kiwis’.

They have not time to dig deep, to follow such developments and incidences, they will fall for the usual MSM brain washing, and moderation, and continue to vote for Nats, that is nearly half of voters.

    1. “What influence did Hughes have on Police not proceeding with the case?…”

Interesting point you make there Bert, very interesting indeed. Getting dodgier and dirtier each day!

      1. Yes Mary, this whole mess is anything but transparent and leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

  4. Come on, would you suggest such things happen in this land of “absolute purity”, of “highest ethical standards”, of least corruption and so noble and sincere folk that occupy these isles?

The few people I come across, who dare question the reputation of NZ Inc. and the Sleeping Hobbits working so hard when they are away, they can almost be counted on one of my hand.

Too many are gullible as, or simply not willing to hear the truth, and this event, this scandal, that some fairly and reasonably raise in Parliament, even in the MSM, it will NOT decide the election, same as Dirty Politics did NOT ensure a win for the opposition last time.

  5. 5.02 AM , just popped over from a few other things I was reading on the net and read this.

    Wowser…. !!!

When put this way , complete with legal quotes, and expanded as it was…

This is a ‘ no one gets out alive’ scene.

There will be a change of govt this September. Surely Kiwi voters are not this complacent or apathetic …. surely.

I choose to have a bit of faith in the New Zealanders remnant ability to know corruption when they see it. Except you can not only see evidence of it ,… you can hear it and smell it !!!!

    1. Just as an aside (OF COURSE – and I’m perhaps 3, maybe 4 degrees removed from the gorgeous Glenda), she was, and she did.
I note also today’s discussion on nine to noon from the Please Association regarding the potential for corruption amongst our public servants by the criminal element – including a reference to the recent invasion by a gang associate into the NuZull PLEASE somewhere in Waitakere.
That concern over corruption begins and grows incrementally – the rippping of stationary, to the claiming of airpoints, to the not telling on your mates, to cronyism, to outright conflicts of interest.
It’s legitimised by those with forgetful memories, to we know he’s guilty but we don’t have all the evidence, to I’ll have a word with my mate and see what I can do, to ………..

Basically just the realm of those without principle and who are just to lazy to give a fuck or who coould jeopardise one’s own personal comfort.

Glenda fucking Hughs eh?!!! I wondered what happened to her

      1. Criminal elements infiltrate any organisation they can, to obtain a commercial advantage, the police, security organisations, the legal fraternity, the judiciary, politics, banking, real estate, accounting. It is all part of the game and what you can get away with, there are actually know rules until you are caught and have to face the consequences, then it is about who you know and how deep your pockets are, it is now called networking and spheres of influence ?

    2. There is obviously not a Code of Conduct Agreement in place at the National Party, especially when you have the GCSB spying on our own Trade Partners who are fellow members of the World Trade Organisation ?

  6. I’m a bit fuck Curwen …. so can you explain to me what
    National High-Ups -means?
I’m just wondering because Anne Tolley has difficulty in coming to an appropriate measurement of poverty, and there seems to be seep and meaningful discussion amongst the National Party ideologues over whether or not the use of the word ‘crisis’ is appropriate in relation to housing,
Are those ‘High-Ups’ you refer to branded on the basis of their parliamentary pecking order, or their age (since Todd Barclay), or whether they’re able to keep up with fashion (leopard skin and ugg boots to purple lipstick and advice as to whether the strips should go vertically or horizonatlly, or whether a modest granny print is more appropreiate), or their record – and is that perceived or real, or is it where they park their flabby arses on green benches, …. is it based on an intelligence quotient, a media quotient??
Please…. what is this High-Ups in relation to the rest of the population I presume they’re pretending to represent.

  7. High Up’s are the one’s at the top of the food chain, higher than the average swamp dwellers that infest the Beehive leeching off the taxpayers, and sucking the lifeblood out of the NZ Economy ?
