  1. A National MP NOT actually drunk at a winery? That would be news.

Meanwhile, MP Bayley seems extremely juvenile and immature.

I guess it’s another example of personal wealth getting one out of touch with reality.

Please, just one term or less, thank you.

    1. The historical master slave relationship comes to mind, with a common serf being addressed by the aristocratic gentry. Did Bayley see himself as Ceasar at the Colosseum, but instead of the “thumbs down” sign, used the loser “L” sign. Would Bayley even be capable of carrying out the job, of the man he mindlessly belittled? Ceasar, Luxon, Bayley, all cut from the same cloth.

  2. If it wasn’t so serious it could well have been straight out of a “Little Briton” script and it just sums up the entitled attitude of this whole government being led by the biggest entitled prick Luxon

  3. Don’t just include Tories in the entitled rich prick genre.
Peter, Jones and Seymour display the same arrogant attitude to those who they consider to be inferior under any measure.
Unfortunately we have a large portion of our people who regardless of their personal status applaud this type of behavior and attitude.
I have a neighbor who could be called an itinerant worker at best a dole bludger at worst who hates any coloured person but absolutely admires Peters and Seymour because they will sort them black c….s out.
He cannot see the irony of black c….s shitting on black c….s just so they can have the baubles of office.

  4. What those rich pricks forget its the so called losers that actually do the work and create the wealth for NZ .What he is saying is that the 500 multi millionaires are all good the other 5 million are losers .

    1. Gordon walker. “Do the work “ and sometimes get injured, maimed, and killed doing it. Never forget John Key and/ or his mate Slater referring to bereaved Pike River people as “ ferals.” Remember that same kinky Key, excellent hair fetishist that he was, screeching away to get some guts and send other people’s kids off to fight in other people’s wars ?

      1. Aunty what you say is 100% correct .I worked for a company which could not care about health and safety of the workers till the government implemented $500k fines for directors .Till then me as the supervisor was the one to carry the can with $30k fines and prosecution .

  5. How come the media are not baying for his blood .If it was a labour minister every media out let and luxon and bayley would be demanding he resign and leave parliament .

  6. Using a word like ‘losers’ to real workers shows us exactly where this Coalition of Chaos get it’s ideas – the American republican party. Let’s not call them the GOP, there’s nothing grand about them. They are white trash these days.
Here in Aotearoa/NZ the more money they have the more trashy they are. No self-control, no self-respect, no respect for real workers, no genuine Christian values, no professionalism, no sense, pig-headed beyond belief, no ideas beyond denigrating and showing contempt for everyone who, they perceive, doesn’t belong.
And the worst of all, happy to back a ‘leader’ who is useless, to save face.

  7. Dash it all! What is the world coming to when the feelings of some miserable hireling can be used to criticise a Tory Minister of the Crown?
Notice I said a Tory minister. Those disgusting, anti-capitalist swine belonging to the Labour/Green cabal should be permanently banned.
to allow those born to rule to take their rightful positions of authority.
Ah for the days when the sun always shone on the British Empire, when the lower orders knew their places and you could buy virgins cheaply.
This Bayly feller apologised? Dammit, didn’t he have a horsewhip handy?

  8. Perhaps Bayly is jealous of Key’s charm. He thought that he could pull off a lame joke like pulling on a ponytail like a bellpull every time the worker went by (I think that’s what happened). But AB is not able to pull it off- fell on his nose. I’m thinking that these days we need to follow a winner like Muhammad Ali :
“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. The hands can’t hit what the eyes can’t see.”

  9. Years ago as a worker, a wimpy political clown saying that, half tanked deserves a slap, no matter his protection squad, i would have obliged.

  10. Bayly is another of the entitled National landlord class. His main role is to weaken the lending rules once again, and get the fomo property speculation game back on track.
Of course he has an apartment in Wellington, just like his boss did. Nice little accommodation allowance earner on the taxpayer.

  11. What is so lighthearted about referring to someone you’ve never met before, a “loser” and telling them to f#ck off and then do a ‘L’ sign on your forehead? I totally agree with @ Gordon Walker and the others above. Bayly personifies everything nasty about the current coalition – including constantly putting down and mocking others they believe are beneath them.

@Gordon Walker – the media are not baying for his blood because they are the PR wing of the current government especially TV 1 News, and especially Maiki Sherman. If this had been a comment from a Labour Party, Green Party, or Te Pati Maori Party, Luxon, Seymour and even Winston Peters would have demanded a Royal Commission of Enquiry and looked at bringing in hate speech laws, such is their own toxic venom which reflects the venom of their brainwashed followers.

  12. It’s ok the PM is on to it. When asked about Bayley Luxon commented “ what I would say to you is, I can’t take my hand off it”

    1. Trouble at ‘core’? Perhaps wasn’t the apple of his mother’s eye and required more codling?

  13. Unusual. He pronounces unreservedly as unreservably and doesn’t have great communication skills at all. His deeds possibly speak louder than his words? I would have written him off after 10 seconds.
