  1. However I did note that Southern Cross lost millions on the health side of their business .So premiums will need to double at least in a short time before they go broke .Maybe thats why Luxon is selling his houses so he can buy those hospitals cheaply and turn them into apartments for the homeless .

  2. NZQA have to scale marks up for half of new zealanders to pass NCEA1 exams (or O levels or school C) so when you think of how stupid the average New Zealander is, realise that more than half of us are dumber than that.

  3. Yes, they did it in the power sector Max B promised us lower power prices with more competition and has this worked? Nah! doesn’t look like it as power costs continues to climb despite privatisation. We had user pays in the health care system too and that also failed its inequitable.

  7. This is what I voted for. I don’t understand what everyone is complaining about. The Atlas conspiracy theory is pretty funny. Reminds me of the Dems when they bitched about Russian collusion in 2016.

    1. Yeah but your bat shit minor party you voted for, got less than 10% of the vote. If you wanna live like a yank, bugger off to the States, and don’t look back. Don’t bring that Mammonite shit here.

      1. Reminds me of the Repubs and Trump when they bitched and continue to bitch that the last election was “stolen” from them and Trump believes he won.

“Recent attempts to request documents concerning Health NZ’s financial state through powers in the Official Information Act had been denied, with officials citing an imminent public release of documents.
It was understood the release could happen early next week. Verrall, who had already received the documents, claimed she had tried to release them this week but was allegedly blocked by Health Select Committee chairman Sam Uffindell.”

    Transparency not really Nationals thing.

  9. I notice today that the government are going to underwrite new house builds for the private sector while no longer building or maintaining any public houses and ar changing a law by stealth that allows Ag to pollute already polluted water ways even further .

  10. And here comes the privatisation of school land and buildings. And once that’s done the private owners will tell us the rugby field at the central city school is surplus to requirements and will be sold off for housing just to keep the rent the school has to pay to cover the interest that the new private owner borrowed to buy the school at a fire sale price.

Of course The Treaty Principles have to be revamped first so maori don’t get First Right of Purchase on any so called surplus govt land.

Labour Greens TPM NZFirst? need to unequivocally state that sales of govt strategic assets like schools hospitals military bases roads rail links ports will be automatically reposessed at the original sale price or a lesser amount.

  11. National promised to lower waiting lists at hospitals, what utter bollocks.
I find myself needing hip replacement like many other older people.
The time given to see a specialist is 300 days and then there is another undetermined wait for the surgery.
After paying tax for 60 odd years one would hope they could get help in their hour of need.
What is being done to health is a scandal
