  1. Netanyahu is pushing to bring the US fully and openly into attacking Syria . Not that they lack the will or the intent to do so anyway , but they lack the justification that can be sold to at least a large proportion of their public. Israel, in the face of another false flag chemical attack having been preempted by Russia’s intelligence , and having been grossly overworked anyway, is trying to provoke a reaction from Russia that the US can use in it’s place .
Following Putin having postponed the liberation of Idlib in negotiation with Erdogan something had to be done to restore the justification for the intended attack. They are not going to leave Syria in peace with Assad in the presidency.
Putin can see all this, and he can see that reacting to such provocation will quickly lead to a massive escalation of conflict. He is dealing with people who are itching like with hives to have it out with Russia. And in the end Russia is not a military match for the combined US and NATO military machine. They can put up a good defence using conventional weapons but the airforces and firepower are overwhelming. All he has to fall back on is a superior nuclear attack capability that cannot be defended against at the present time.
He is doing all he can to avoid a situation arising that will require him to use it. And Israel. the US the UK, France and some Middle East countries are doing all they can to get it started. Russia’s diplomacy and strenuous efforts to avoid escalation of conflict are creating an obsession in the Western establishment with wanting to find out if Putin is really weak . He seems to dine on dead rat every evening. But they can’t be sure, so push push here and there and everywhere to see how fat they can go.
We will all find out soon unfortunately.

  2. Might is Right, that is what rules the world, it has in the past, it does so now, all else is dream stuff, as we know. Russia and Israel will not go to war, they are both mighty and want to share their spheres of influence carefully in the Near East. So they will talk behind the scenes and nothing much else will happen.

Syria will stay intact, Israel will be able to continue as usual, keeping ‘Palestinians’ at bay and in their ghettos.
