  1. Without doubt Jacinda has taken over from John Key but if people can see past her halo there is little to give confidence that there is a plan to move forward . There is little that Winston says that I agree with but his opinion of the Labour Government is that they are amateurs

    1. Trevor Sennitt: “….Jacinda has taken over from John Key….”

It seems so. And with as little substance as he had, unfortunately. Dear Leader #2.

“…his opinion of the Labour Government is that they are amateurs.”

It’s difficult to disagree with that assessment, really. Judging by their record, they’re pants at the political process which is vital if a coalition is to work properly.

      1. I have to admit, that yours is probably the best argument I have seen put up against the PM’s competence this week… Which makes me extremely happy, as You ably demonstrate just how few options the tories have, when it comes to successfully pretending to represent their own people… They don’t actually understand Kiwis well enough to ever lead them… That is the traitor Key’s legacy.. The uncaring leading the unknowing….

  2. I think this survey fair. Her spite and bile scares the shit out of me.

Collins showing her face or opening her mouth is generally accompanied by mysterious flocks of ravens, nasty looking black Rottweilers, and sudden outbreaks of storms and lighting. And small children named Damian who have phobias of being near churches.

Still, hardcore miserable Nat voters love the feeling of doom and utter catastrophe she exudes.

    1. Collins is far too close to the ‘Chinese dragon’ of the totalitarian Communist party machine.

So we are really now being drawn far to close to being inside the jaws of that Chines dragon monster if we allow Judith Collins and her henchmen into Government. That’s what scares many now.

  3. “This election is based on how frightened people feel during this pandemic.”

Fear is never a good basis for an election. Were I either in the Labour party, or intending to vote for it, I’d hope for something more substantive than that.

    1. People take no more than 5 minutes to decide who or why to vote. All-Party leaders fight over during an election is a margin of error. The stomach churners and head-scratchers ie fear and confusion happen when dumb arse don’t know why polls go up or down, or something unexpected happened.

      1. Frank the Tank: “The only interesting thing now is whether the Greens get back in. If not you could argue Labour will find itself where National has been no mates Neville”

It’s certainly possible. I am among the many who are hoping that the Greens don’t get back into parliament. We’ll see what the election results throw up. I most sincerely hope that it isn’t a one-party government.
