  1. Yes Leslie,

“When will New Zealand’s voice at the Security Council be heard in support of Ban Ki-moon and the Geneva Conventions, demanding that Israel be held accountable?”

“All care & no responsibility” eh?

The other side of this was told to me by two people who were involved there over two decades. I felt you should hear their input we received from them both now years later.

My Grandfather was fighting Rommel during the last war. 1942/44

Also a British paratrooper I lived with in Canada who was involved in the 1950,s Suez Cannel crisis,

Both said no one should have invaded these regions as the Middle East is highly complex & needed to sort the issues out in some revolving forum process until peace was secured, and not be invaded by others to dictate over them.

The whole region is a very divided community that needs to find all sides agreement for a long term future is what they seemed to have offered after they both had been active their over two decades.

Great article thanks for the insight.

You should be using the historical name of “Judaea and Samaria” for the area you refer to as the “West Bank”.

You do really need to read up on the the history of this area more fully, if you did you would realise that the land that is now Israel has been the historical home land of the Jewish people since the 10 century BC.

The Muslim Arabs invaded the land around the 7th Century AD, however it is still the land of the Israelite’s and hopefully for many centuries to come.
