Christopher Luxon ruled out working with Opportunity – TOP

Today, Christopher Luxon ruled out working with Opportunity after what he described as a “cursory glance” at our policies.
That’s the kind of old politics New Zealanders are tired of.
The challenges facing our country are too serious for political leaders to dismiss ideas without properly considering them, or to divide every party and policy into left-wing and right-wing boxes.
Opportunity is offering a different approach.
We will leave ideology at the door, judge ideas on their merits, and work constructively with parties across the political spectrum.
We are focused on building the next economy: one that invests in innovation, protects nature and creates opportunities for the people building New Zealand’s future.
Our door remains open to all parties, including National. We believe political parties should be prepared to listen, engage and find common ground, even when they don’t agree on everything.
That kind of politics won’t happen by itself. It will take thousands of New Zealanders standing up and demanding something better.
