  1. Yep. I quit smoking 5 years ago , I was then / still am living a sedentary lifestyle after years of physical activity and smoking like a train,…it was that that got me: smoking , putting on a bit of weight,… but mainly the lack of physical movement. I’d never heard of vaping before, but was getting sick of smoking/ roll your owns etc…

I saw a guy on a youtube clip in what appeared to be smoking a pipe. He interrupted his clip and went on to say ”this is a vape pipe which I took up because I could not keep up with the 80 something year old Navaho chief in climbing the trails and mountains when smoking”….he was in his mid/late 50’s.

I still recall when I stubbed my last cigarette out,… after I had been experiencing very painful heart attack symptoms for 2-3 weeks.

Well, turns out it was cholesterol build up in an artery, I should not be alive today but they stuck a stent in me. I still vape, have moved down in nicotine levels , but to be honest, I still like my nicotine, I still enjoy vaping. But there will come a day, when I stop,…I’ve just got to get to that point. It’ll come. Its good after a nice meal, when busy during more cerebral activity’s, when bored,… much like cigarettes minus the immediately more destructive qualities. Occasionally I will chew on some nicotine gum, but its not the same. Especially after a coffee!

  2. I’ve been a heavy smoker for 35 years. I’ve been supplementing with vapes for about a year. It took me a bit to get the hang of it and find a device that is simple and works for me. I’m not sure if I can fully transition to vaping. Life is too stressful to make the leap. But I am encouraged to see many people around me successfully do so. It does bother me though how widespread youth vaping is. We don’t yet know the long term health risks of vaping. Youth tend to skip tobacco altogether and go straight to vaping. Progress of sorts, I suppose
