  1. Thanks to all who fronted up. Shame Chloe couldn’t make it. How/where did Damien get so sunburnt this summer??!! (Bad lighting on pastey white ol’ skin? Amanda made the best arguments and came fully informed imo. Bridges bats better out of government politicking, but meh, he’s Chamber of Commerce CEO now so still super out of touch with everyone who is not big business. Damien Grant, yeah it’s nice to see the positive but you don’t seem to be grasping that these events are no longer once in 100 years, while failing to offer potential solutions other than people from Asia are happy to buy houses on flood plains. Forgive me Amanda for not catching your last name. It wasn’t a debate, but on the face of, Greenpeace brought the facts. Bomber, you really need to secure more field experts and women to the show, to bring balance. Good show, thank you everyone 🙂

  2. Please don’t

After calling the media drongos and prioritising his planned tennis engagement over addressing the severe weather warning, the Mayor begs the Herald to censor his comments.

“Anyhow I’ve got to deal with media drongos over the flooding tomorrow so sadly no tennis for me tomorrow.” He signed off as “Browny”.

The Herald asked Brown to comment, saying a story was to be written on the message thread. He responded by text message: “Please don’t.”

  3. Brown and the Labour Party need to be held accountable for this fiasco here in Auckland.

About time the drainage and sewerage systems were sorted rather than this Third World set up we have now, Labour should have sorted this out in conjunction with Auckland City Council.

Rates keep going up in Auckland with Zero Improvement, huge wage rises for Auckland Council Executives and additional staff, just a bunch of professional seat warmers and bludgers.
