  1. No doubt it is tough for the 600,000 lining up at food banks. That’s diabolical for a modern capitalist society. And even tougher for the homeless. Then there’s utilities. Even if you’re one of the lucky ones power is through the roof. Many cant afford insurance. A wrought but a life line when things go belly up. For most everything is going up and eroding memories of the good ol’ days. One solution of course is to boycott consumerism. Fuck all that shit we dont really need. Ignore the advertising. Fomo? Its all social control. Collectively we might even reduce our footprint and save the planet.

  3. The fear and now realization of being unpopular and hated the National party has embarked on a mail out saying how much they have achieved in two years with Luxon’s face on the front. I barely read it , screwed it up and binned it with some profanity thrown in.

Kiwi’s still don’t get it. Sure the austerity and cruelty of this government is extreme but its more than that. Its the way this economy runs and who benefits from that. Its certainly not me or most reading this blog. The fact that everyone is turning to Labour for solutions after throwing them out two years ago for almost the same reasons they detest this government is a joke. This current regime is a corrupted side show with entitled MP’s and leaders but the same economic system that has been failing many of us is still there just more extreme. Now they are all rushing back to the alternative neo liberal political failure the NZLP in the hope that by applying the same unregulated capitalist approach will fix our many deep structural failures.

A mass exodus from any country other than ours would provoke some serious discussion as to why.
