Gaza‘s growing death, injury and sickness

The total numbers of killed and wounded in Gaza by Israel since 7 October 2023 are: Killed 71,552 and Wounded 171,378. The past 24 hours (as above) have seen 1 more person killedand 6 more people injured.
Since the start of the Gaza ‘ceasefire’ the Israeli Occupation has killed 467 Palestinians and injured 1,300.
Since dawn, Israeli live ammunition from gunboats and shelling from tanks, have killed 1 more resident and injured 6 others. The total number recorded killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is nowat least 71,552; the total wounded is now at least 171,378. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 85 and, that of those injured, is more than 204. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

Casualties, Property Damage and Displacement – December 2025
Between 15 and 18 January, reports of airstrikes, shelling and gunfire continued across the Gaza Strip.
On 21 January, the Israeli military dropped leaflets in Bani Suhaila, eastern Khan Yunis, east of the so-called “Yellow Line”, ordering people to evacuate immediately. OCHA estimates that more than 400 families remain in the area and partners have not yet observed any movement.
According to the Site Management Cluster’s (SMC) winter alert dashboard, an additional 89 displacement sites have been affected by strong winds, heavy rains and flooding between 12 and 16 January, beyond the 106 sites that already reported storm-related impact at the end of last week. Overall, an additional 4,000 households, or nearly 17,000 people, have been affected and approximately 1,400 have been displaced from Khan Yunis to Gaza City. The Ministry of Health in Gaza also reports that a 27-day–old infant and a six-months-old baby died due to the cold between 17 and 20 January, bringing the total reported child deaths from the cold to nine, since the beginning of the winter season.
West Bank
Since 24:00 on 7 October 2023, Israeli Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure of the West Bank, preventing residents and other permit-holders from neither entering nor leaving.The Israeli military also imposes severe and highly variable travel restrictions on all residents.

Israeli Army attack – 1 youngster wounded: Jerusalem – 13:45, Israeli Occupation forces stormed the Qalandiya refugee camp, wounding a 15–year–old boy: Nabil Luay Awni Aslan.
Israeli Army attack – 1 man wounded: Jenin – 21:55, Israeli troops, at the road junction near the Homesh settlement ruins, opened fire on a man, Muhammad Adnan Dhiab Abu Tabikh, wounding and hospitalising him.
Home invasions – stun grenades fired – 1 taken prisoner: Jerusalem – 12:35, Israeli Occupation forces, firing stun grenades and tear gas canisters, raided the town of Hizma and invaded homes. One resident was taken prisoner.
Home invasion and demolition: Ramallah – 07:30, Israeli forces demolished a house, in the village of Shuqba.
Home invasions – 1 taken prisoner: Jenin – Since 12:20 on 28 January 2025, Israeli Occupation forces continue their incursions into the city as well as the refugee camp, with more homes again raided and one resident taken prisoner.
Home invasions – stun grenades fired: Jenin – evening, Israeli Occupation forces, firing stun grenades and tear gas canisters, raided the village of Ajja and searched several homes.
Home invasions and Occupation – 3 taken prisoner: Tulkarem – Since 28 January 2025, Occupation forces continue to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, this time again raiding and Occupying homes, for use as military posts as well as taking prisoner three more residents.
Home invasions – 1 taken prisoner: Nablus – 00:55-5:20, the Israeli Army raided the city, searched several homes and took prisoner one resident.
Home invasions – in refugee camp: Hebron – 18:30, Israeli troops raided the Al-Arroub refugee camp, searching several homes.
Israeli Army mosque violation and population–control: Jerusalem – the Israeli Occupation issued orders, banning three people, Ahmed al-Safadi, Adam al-Rashq and his brother Amir, from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for the next six months, as well as banning for a period of one week, four others: Issam al-Shaloudi, Ibrahim al-Abbasi, Abdul Rahman Awais and Fayez Shaaban.
Israeli Army population–control: Jerusalem – the Israeli Occupation issued an order, banning one person, Montaser Adkaidek, from entering the Old City for a period of 15 days, as a condition on his release from captivity.
Israeli Army assault on UN refugee aid offices (UNRWA): Jerusalem – Israeli Occupation forces invaded the Headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of Jerusalem, demolishing mobile offices, raising the Israeli flag over the Headquarters and posting an Israeli Land Authority confiscation order over the property.
Israeli police and settlers’ mosque violation: Ramallah – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.
Israeli Army population–control: Ramallah – 17:00, Israeli forces took prisoner a man, Bilal Ahmad Qaraan, when he reported, as ordered, for interrogation by Israeli Military Intelligence.
Israeli Army violence and injury: Ramallah – 15:15, the Israeli Army severely beat-up a man, Khaled Ahmed Abdullah Odeh, at a checkpoint, near the Ein Siniya village roundabout. The victim was admitted to the Emergency Health Centre, in the village of Deir Ammar.
Israeli Army population–control: Ramallah – 22:05, Israeli troops took prisoner a journalist, Ali Dar Ali, a resident of Burham village, when he reported, as ordered, for interrogation by Israeli Military Intelligence.
Israeli Army pastoral sabotage: Nablus – 11:25, the Israeli military demolished livestock shelters, in the Khirbet al-Tawil area of Aqraba.
