TWITTERWATCH: Chris Bishop terrified by what real leadership looks like

Just when you didn’t;t think Chris Bishop could be more off a toxic prick, here he is shitting on Jacinda’s decision to pull out of a writers festival that had banned a Palestinian writer.

You’d think after shitting on Stan Walker that Chris would stick to bashing the homeless, lying about renting from his in-laws and taking photos with his dog in a desperate attempt to not look like the tobacco lobbyist arsehole that he is, yet here he is again attacking Jacinda.

It’s all a bit too much Chris Bishop isn’t it? Even the National Caucus who are a cluster fuck of toxic pricks couldn’t tolerate him being leader.

Let’s all hope Chris gets the bash he deserves when he loses Hutt South now the boundaries have been redrawn. Will Labour supporters in Newlands think shitting on Jacinda is a vote winner?

  1. This is a brief but well deserved discrimination of Bishop. I can’t think of any redeeming features about him and I generally try to think that there’s some good in all people.

    • Yes, Bonnie. The only good thing I can think of is that he should be gone after the next election.
I hope he’s buying his own house now because once he loses his overpaid job in parliament, he’ll be toast.

They all laugh and say it’s so funny that Jacinda cannot live in NZ now and don’t realise, they will be in the same boat soon.
What does an amateur ex-tobacco lobbyist have to offer? They think foreigners will not have heard of the terrific mess they are making…not likely.

  2. Bishop, with the nasty ‘run-away mouth, will never be PM of NZ as he lacks basic self-control. Of course he is also misogynistic and a bully so is comforable attacking Jacinda over a classy act on her behalf. Jacinda is 100 x the person he could never hope to be and super intelligent to boot โ€“ he is simply another jealous, frustrated CoC-up clone. Keep it up Bishop your mob is kaput.

  3. Bishop behaves like a Jealous Temper Tantrum Spoilt child throwing his toys out of his playpen.

It is indeed tiresome that such a Lowlife is on such a great pay packet whilst manipulating funding for His Own Intents and Purposes.

We don’t live in the Bishop electorate and I wouldn’t vote for the Arrogant Prick if he was the Last MP on the planet.

I am getting the impression with the way National, ACT and NZ First MPs call Labour, The Greens and TPM MPs that they are doing a Copy and Paste of the Madman Donald Trump.

I guess Bishop will never learn but lets watch him demean himself even further with his Words and Actions.

  4. Too much of an opportunity for Bishop to let slide. A chance to disparage Ardern while also platforming his pro-Israel stance.

Sadly, Bishop will probably be one of those political-lifers who never seem to leave. In the mold of Brownlee and Collins, we will get to watch him bloat with age while becoming endlessly smug.

    • Do not underestimate the Israeli lobby group that likely led to this decision (imo all politicians are mere puppets of larger interests that are often way beyond our comprehension). I expect Bishop will be promoted in the the next National Government (they will win). People here clearly have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.

  5. One is well regarded around the world and the other, Bishop, is hardly known outside of Wellington. Pretty much sums it up for me. Oops I forgot, Bishop is also pro cancer sticks.

Xero, the NZ-based accounting software giant, acquired US B2B payments platform Melio in a major deal around June 2025, aiming to integrate payments directly into its accounting software for US small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) to boost its North American presence and create a seamless, end-to-end financial platform, combining Xero’s bookkeeping with Melio’s accounts payable/receivable tools for cash flow management. This strategic acquisition, valued at up to $3 billion, helps Xero compete in the US market and aims to double its revenue by 2028 by unifying accounting and payments on a single platform, making bill payments easier and more controlled for businesses, say sources like RNZ,
