Since dawn, shelling by Israeli tanks and other gunfire has continued over almost the whole of Gaza. Eight more people have been killed and 16 more wounded. Civil Defence crews retrieved onemore body from underneath bomb-damaged property, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 70,125. The total wounded is now at least 171,015. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 88 and, that of those injured, is more than 217. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

On 3 December, the Israeli authorities announced that the Rafah crossing would open in the coming days “exclusively for the exit of residents” from the Gaza Strip to Egypt.

Occupation settler terrorism: Nablus – Occupation settlers attacked the owner of a business on the main road near the entrance to the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya after he had tried to resist their raising of Israeli flags in front of his establishment. The settlers went on to raise their flags near homes along the main Nablus – Ramallah road east of the village.
