Both have believed private investment could substitute for the public investment, creating Public Private Partnerships, Labour’s message is, ‘We are slightly less cruel than National’, which after so much toxic politics is a welcome message for the centre voter.

We can’t all be rocket scientists – there have to be people to do ALL the jobs, even the unsavoury ones. So Left, bring PASSION and a DO or DIE ATTITUDE or you will not survive a term. Hipkins if you don’t have that “burning desire”, please for the good of NZ, step aside and put in your very best MP and deputy. A new broom sweeps clean! Everyone who works, has a right to a roof over their heads, food in their tummies and some joy in life. Not that hard really – it’s called SHARING!

What a compassionate mien that dog has. A Labour Party with revolutionary tendencies would drop GST down to 6% with 1% of it going back to the region where it was earned. Or they would take 5% of the present 15% and 10% would go to citizen needs, part providing homes and funding a State Housing mortgage fund for those able to save mainly for duplex housing which would be owned by the mortgagor but half leased by the government as part of the social housing provision. More self-sufficiency where we can. And part of the 10% for funding firefighters hospitals and medicals in exposed areas. Blah blah but I don’t smoke so it isn’t just a pipe dream.
Perhaps the Labour dog could set up a rat catching service for Woolworths and other stores large and small needing rats and mice control. Terriers used to be used didn’t they? It would be a help to businesses and drop our use of bad poisons.
