Gaza‘s death, injury and sickness

Totals since 7 October 2023: 70,100 – killed – wounded 170,983
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile–launches and gunfire have killed 132 more people and injured 11 others. Civil Defence crews retrievedone more body from underneath bomb-damaged property, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 70,100. An additional 299 bodies have been added to the final death toll, following data completion and approval by the committee responsible for following up on reports and missing persons. The total wounded is now at least 170,983. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 90 and, that of those injured, is more than 207. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

A prominent aspect of the genocide that has unfolded in the Gaza Strip, since October 2023, has been the meticulous and complete destruction by Israel of the infrastructure of research and higher education, and the systematic targeting of leaders of the Gazan academy. Since the 1948 Nakba, Palestinians have invested great efforts in building educational institutions, so this act of “Scholasticide” is particularly painful, and has profoundly affected the 80,000 university students and thousands of faculty and staff at the dozen universities in the area. West Bank
Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Israeli Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure on the West Bank, with the exception of approved diplomatic and international missions and humanitarian requirements.
Israeli Army attack: Ramallah – evening, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, stormed Burqa village.
Israeli Army attacks – homes invaded: Jenin – Israeli forces, continued their relentless storming of people and homes in the city, as well as the refugee camp.
Israeli Army attacks: Tulkarem – Israeli troops, firing live ammunition and tear gas canisters, continued to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, invading and occupying homes for use as military outposts.
Home invasions and destruction: Ramallah – 22:15, Israeli Occupation forces raided the village of Qarawat Bani Zeid, searched one house and began demolishing 24 homes in the refugee camp, 12 of which had already been partially demolished.
Home invasion – 1 taken prisoner and terrorism: Jenin – evening, Israeli forces raided Ya’bad, searched a home, taking prisoner one resident and terrorising several others, one of whom was beaten-up.
Home invasions and occupation: Tubas – since 23:45 November 25, Israeli Occupation forces have been storming the city and imposing a curfew. They continue to search and occupy houses.
Home invasions and occupation – 2 taken prisoner: Tubas – since 01:10 November 26, Israeli Occupation forces have been storming the town of Aqaba, raiding and searching numerous homes, and taking prisoner two residents.
Home invasions and occupation – 6 taken prisoner: Tubas – since 05:00 on November 26, Israeli Occupation forces have been storming the town of Tammun, raiding and Occupying homes and now taking prisoner six more residents.
Home invasions – explosives and destruction: Tubas – since 05:00 on November 26, the Israeli Army continues invading the village of Al-Far’a, raiding and searching homes. At dawn the Israeli military used explosives to destroy part of one house during the raids.
Home invasions – 15 residents beaten–up and hospitalised: Tubas – since 05:00 on November 26, the Israeli Army continues invading the village of Tayasir, raiding and searching homes. At dawn, during the raids, 15 residents were beaten-up and hospitalised by Israeli troops.

Israeli Army violence – villager beaten-up and hospitalised: Nablus – 11:30, Israeli soldiers severely beat–up and hospitalised a Beit Amrin villager, Muhammad Talat Yousef Abdo, near the evacuated Homesh Israeli settlement.
Armed Occupation settler violence and population–control: Jerusalem – armed settlers terrorised shepherds, at work on land near the village of Mikhmas, forcing them off the land at gunpoint.
Occupation settler violence: Tulkarem – 14:15, Israeli settlers invaded Beit Lid and assaulted people.
Occupation settler raid: Nablus – 11:50, Occupation settlers raided the Al-Arma area, in the town of Beita, and invaded a poultry farm.
Occupation settler violence, injuries and hospitalisations: Nablus – 17:30, Israeli settlers invaded Rujeib village agricultural land, severely beating-up and hospitalising three villagers: Muhammad Ibrahim Dweikat, Rahaf Abdul Hakim Sarhan and Alaa Essam Dweikat.
Occupation settler stoning: Salfit – 22:45, Israeli Occupation settlers stoned passing vehicles, on the Wadi Qana Road leading to Qalqiliya.
Occupation settler violence: Jericho – 20:40, Israeli settlers raided the Arab al-Maliha community, in the village of Ein Al-Duyuk Al-Fuqa, and attacked people building a house.
Occupation settler stoning: Hebron – 11:05, Occupation settlers raided the village of Birin and stoned people’s homes.
Occupation settler stoning and plunder: Hebron – 13:20, Israeli settlers stormed the town of Al-Dhahiriya, stoning homes, destroying livestock feed, as well as stealing property and livestock.
