On and on and on it goes.
Doc launches his latest suicide bombing campaign against te Pati Maori leadership in a never ending cycle of destruction that only keeps David Seymour, Sean Plunkett, Don Brash and Mike Hosking dancing with joy…
Tākuta Ferris alleges ‘despicable’ treatment of dying MP Takutai Tarsh Kemp
The late Tāmaki Makaurau MP Takutai Tarsh Kemp was subjected to “the most despicable behaviour” by Te Pāti Māori leadership, expelled Te Tai Tonga MP Tākuta Ferris claims.
Takutai Tarsh Kemp, who died in June, underwent treatment for kidney disease in the first half of this year.
In an extended interview with RNZ’s Mata programme, published on Tuesday, Ferris claimed the leadership of Te Pāti Māori was trying to oust Takutai Tarsh Kemp from her seat in the months leading up to her death.
In response to this and other claims Ferris made in the interview, Te Pāti Māori president John Tamihere declined to comment on what he described as “any matters based on hearsay, innuendo, accusation or insinuation”.
…how any of this airing of dirty laundry in front of the Marae is helping is beyond any reason now.
The move to split the party onto te Pati Māori and Tikanga Māori will destroy any hope of seeing them as a stable partner to remove the Government.
This is becoming Shakespearean in its tragedy now.
The numbers look set for te Pati Māori leadership at the AGM, but Doc, Eru and Mariameno have shown they intend to agitate as Independent MPs from now until the Election.
Is that an ongoing civil war that is survivable?
Imagine te Pati Māori and Tikanga Māori facing off in electorates that would automatically allow Labour to come through the middle.
It’s such a flawed outcome driven by MPs putting their ego in front of the waka.
The enemy isn’t te Pati Māori leadership, it’s National, NZF and ACT.
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

I have to ask this question – is someone on the Right ‘paying’ this thicko, Ferris, to keep up the anti on the TPM leadership? Has to be! No one, with even half a brain, would keep committing political suicide for any other reason. So if that’s his modus operandi then we are all better off without his vitriole, spite and stupidity. Time for the ‘children’ to stop playing their ridiculous games and get on with the real things that matter and are destroying our lovely NZ! FGS, just grow up Ferris – you’ve become a total bore!
It keeps ALL of the right dancing with joy!
The popcorn sales are through the roof lol
Maori party as it stands are finished, Tamahere cannot remain the head of the party.
Labour will win at least half the maori seats now.
Will be 2 maori parties formed, which will heavily dilute their usefulness and will be at war with each other in parliament!
As mentioned before…this is great popcorn viewing stuff, I hope they renew for another season.
Well at least it should take care of the overhang, which is undemocratic.
You keep blaming one side, and there is ego’s on both sides. I’m less than impressed by the current leadership for the reasons I’ve said before. Criticism is built into democracy, and quite frankly the ability to not take a bit of criticism on the chin is weak.
The problem I have with JT is simple, he plays to win and won’t compromise – this is the outcome of that behaviour. You think we can get a change of government people will trust with one team in a coalition only playing to win?
act have made the idea of the tail wagging the dog sickening to most.
It is a surprise that National have not approached this twerp. He is full of negative emotions, self-interested, sure that he’s right, doesn’t care about the greater good. Just the person to sut National – would fit like a glove. The future doesn’t matter, it is now having a well-paid position, and well-known image in the news, 15 minutes of fame and to hell with visions for the future for us all.
At the moment there are only two electorates where there could potentially be a face off
