The Destiny Church christofascists who attacked a library because of Drag Story Telling can now be unmasked…
Six charged over Destiny Church Pride library storytime protest can now be named
Six of the seven people charged following the violent Destiny Church-linked Auckland Pride library storytime protest can now be named.
The six people facing charges for the West Auckland protest are Phineas Mann, Hector Gardiner, Campbell Harvey, Bryan French, Karen Robinson and Tianarangi Robinson. A teenager continues to have name suppression.
Authorities investigated allegations of assault after a group of about 50 people entered the Te Atatū Community Centre in February this year and refused to leave.
The library had been hosting a Pride Festival Drag Queen storytime event. A 16-year-old girl swept up in the confrontation – after initially attending a sports event at the venue – suffered a concussion during the fracas, her mother said.
The group originally lost their bids for interim suppression in March, but the defence indicated it would appeal the decision, so the defendants couldn’t be identified until now after their appearance in the Auckland District Court yesterday.
…it’s important that the community gets to see who are the christofascists in their neighbourhood.
Look at them all wearing their Sunday best in Court to convince the judge they aren’t violent religious nutters…

What are evangelical Christians even doing in a library?
They only turn up to ban books or burn them!
If they don’t like that joke, they can turn the other cheek.
Thoughts and Prayers to them all.

There is no excuse for the weird, distorted thinking/actions of the Destiny Church cult perpetrators. I have to ask these days “what the hell is NORMAL behaviour”? Is there still such a thing? We seem to lurch from one lunatic action to another in so many walks of life. In my day it was simple – you were brought up to show respect for others, their property, their rights and of course yourself. It’s all gone out the window – maybe never to return!
