Judith, Simeon and Luxon fear the Mega Strike…
- Public Service Minister Judith Collins published an open letter yesterday accusing nurses, teachers and doctors of launching a politically motivated and coordinated attack on students and patients with their Thursday ‘mega-strike.’
…let’s get this straight.
Judith has $400million for attack helicopters but claims the Government can’t afford to pay teachers, nurses and Drs properly?
Simeon threatens to change the law to stop Unions from striking…
Health Minister Simeon Brown mulls law change over feud with striking doctors
…yet his Government has hundreds of millions for the tobacco industry…
Govt set aside $216m to pay for heated tobacco product tax cuts
…Luxon blames the unions for the strikes…
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon blames unions for ongoing strike action
…yet he borrowed billions for landlords and rich tax cuts!
Don’t tell me we don’t have the money to pay our workers more when this Government have borrowed billions for the military, landlords, Big Tobacco and rich tax cuts!
Judith, Simeon and Luxon fear the Mega Strike because the Unions have finally woken up to the fact that this anti-worker Government fronted by the Minister of Handmaids, Brooke van Velden is here to destroy them.
The Union movement has finally realised they have to fight and that scares the bejesus out of the Right.
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.
Yuk.
About time this happened .A hikoi of the workers in NZ is just what these COCs dont want .It will show them that people power is coming for you .No doubt they will act tough and rush laws to prevent strikes which will just inflame the workers and lead to bigger strikes .
Our family are going to the Union rally in Kaitaia to show solidarity, and as
many others that use public health and education should support their local actions. Even bloody ACC workers are joining in now, so it is indeed a mega strike by recent standards.
Collin’s and Suxon’s reaction is on behalf of the ruling class who have had a dream run for two years, they are bricking themselves at the prospect of an organised working class fight back.
Oh so the Labour led Unions (or is the other way round?) strike during a National led govts administration? Hmmm who would believe that? And water is wet
Oh so the National led federated farmers union, the Business round table and tax payers union overseen by none other than Ruth Richardson jump up and down during Labour led govts administration? Hmmm who would believe that? And water is wet.
And yet you are completely wrong, idiot. The people or should I say masses are striking because of a dysfunctional and out of it’s depth government. Now where did all that money National borrowed go again?
Short memory you have they also went on strike under the last government then promptly voted against them at the last election after getting good pay increases .
The unions strike under Labour governments as well so don’t get all precious as if this is a new thing.
While I have no wish to give this creepy trio any more “wind-bag” opportunities, I’m content knowing they fear the Mega Strike. They have been compliant in corruption, lies galore, and bullying behaviour. While it should serve as a lesson to the CoC, I doubt it will, hence they will simply resort to more selfish and bizarre actions. Simeon, trying to stop workers from defending their demoncratic rights is so dumb and questions whether you still have a thinking brain. Luxon is certainly “gone” mentally and we just need him to go physically – off to Hawaii, never to return. While Collins is made from tough, whoops, Rough Stuff, she will continue to lie her way out of the hole she has dug for herself. The speed with which this CoC is implementing “half baked” ideas/changes tells us they too know their days are numbered.
You give Simeon to much credit, a thinking brain?
Brown simply follows in the footsteps of his colleagues, it being the continue strategy of blaming Labour, obfuscating, redirection and division, an old right wing ploy. The trouble is Simeon is a bit simple to pull it off and sounds to robotic. Meanwhile the destruction of our health system under a boy who wants to be a man but like the health portfolio will never be qualified.
Now one of Collins previous ministries have also gone out in support. ACC workers are showing their distaste for this awful government and their contempt for the public of New Zealand. A one term government that will take an incoming Labour government decades to repair the carnage and damage National leave behind.
A lot of these workers would have and will again vote for this government. They voted for tax cuts knowing it would affect their core health and education employment. They voted for buffoonery in the leadership of all three parties. They voted for roads and weapons instead of our children’s future, they are openly climate change deniers. They are racist crooks stealing our country’s Maori heritage unless of course it suits their agenda ie All blacks haka !!. Sadly many of these mega marchers put us in the position we find ourselves in voting for and in electing this coalition of clowns. Let’s hope the anti worker strike breaking rhetoric we have heard from this government is imprinted on their brains so to vote them out at the next election because as Simeon brown stated they are coming for more of your workers rights and making strikes illegal is one of them.
Judeath cannot be trusted we have seen her handy work before with Oravida she can look you in the eye and lie right to your face. And why are we spending billions on warmongering when we should be focused on peace making and saving our people and others in times of natural disasters not war.
Manufacturing a crisis to use as cover for attacking unions and for legally restricting union powers.
Also, they’re complete crackpots and actually believe the gibberish pseudo-economics they spout. So they’re outraged, angry and vicious when anyone defies them.
Typical of the right and scaremongering from Erica Standford. Standford playing politics and trying to drive a wedge between parents and schools. Well Erica pay teachers appropriately, say, the same as you received 10% over the next 3 years? If you find taking 10% acceptable Erica, surely teachers, doctors, nurses, police and the fire service staff should get the equivalent. The easiest way to fund this is to reverse the landlords tax rebates. There are no excuses Erica, Luxon and co.
Get back to work you grifters! If your lucky enough to work for the public service in this country then more often than not you’ll have a well paid job for life. No one else in this country enjoys the job security that you have, no one else enjoys the employment protections that you have. No matter how useless some of these people are getting rid of them will prove almost impossible. In fact the only real risk of getting sacked is by refusing to bend the knee to all things Te Triti and the omni-present alphabet people.so suck it up psa, tbe rest of the country is doing it tough, I see no reason why you shouldn’t either.
Complete nonsense Hen. You know that at least 5000 people in the public service sector in Aotearoa have lost their jobs in the past year.
Obviously not needed to keep the wheels turning .The public service grew by 16000 under Labour .No wonder they needed to borrow .
The wheels are now stuck, fuck head, please keep up. Unnecessary tax cut, tobacco funding, $700,000 ferry pay out and reckless landlord tax rebates. No wonder Willis needed to borrow.
Trevor do you have any clue as to what the number represents? Does that include people under time limited funding work? When it suited Willis she pointed out some of the lay offs were a result of the previous government having such roles.
You never acknowledge that National have borrowed more for nothing apart from giving landlords tax breaks. People who didn’t need any help whatsoever. Certainly didn’t help the economy at all
Is that you Judith?
what a crock of shit fuck off .
@Hen – You say “no matter how useless some of these people are….” Who are the useless ones and why do you call all of them grifters because the definition of a grifter is some who swindles people out of money through fraud – pretty much what the current government is doing to all these good people and to all of us, including you.
Your comment is akin to that of a headless chook running around in circles not knowing where it is going.
‘No one else in this country enjoys the job security that you have, no one else enjoys the employment protections that you have. ‘
Shows what happens when you have union backing. Just imagine if more workers organised.
(We do not have to imagine what happens if wankers organise. ACT is proof of that).
RESTORE STATE SOCIALISM IN AOTEROA! DESTROY CAPITALISM! HEN LAYS EGGS!
Hen Judeath has been bending the knee to Hesegth and the COC are bending the knee to Trumpet
Hen you sound like you are a battered hen, give us a break public sector jobs aren’t for life anymore all public amenities/goods are up for sale under this CoC government, and this lot are sorted so they don’t have to worry about their future or that or their children’s. And in the meant time the ladders have been pulled up. As for your comment about kneeling to the TOW, who owns the majority of land and assets in our country? not Māori for sure. People now have a choice next year who to vote for and it is up to them.
How pathetic is Simpleton Brown to threaten to change the law? And even if he did, given the size of the strike, what are they going to do? Arrest teachers and nurses? That’ll do wonders for staffing at our critical public services. It’s high time unions in this country found their balls again and actually fought for workers rights with some genuine ferocity, and I say that as a member of a labour union. If we’ve learned anything about this malignant government, it’s that “go along to get along” isn’t going to fly. They’re ideological zealots and if you give them an inch, they take a mile. They just can’t help themselves.
More power to the strikers! Solidarity! One term government!
what a crock of shit fuck off .
I live in red neck country area where the teachers mostly vote ACT or National .They will all happily take the day off but will not man the picket lines .
