LABOUR – 33.8
NATIONAL – 33.1
GREENS – 10.7
NZF – 8.1
ACT – 6.7
TPM – 4.3
Even the highly contentious and often maligned Taxpayers’ Union Poll from the unregulated Curia Polling says Labour + Greens + MP would be the new Government!
The terrible blunder of slashing Government spending on infrastructure last year has borne a terribly bitter economic harvest with 70 000 leaving, 30 000 jobs crushed and 18 000 in the construction industry destroyed.
Luxon is loathed for this weakness and the never ending race war alongside the strangling of the common good for Right Wing Donors interests are forcing Kiwis to reconsider their political allegiances.
The hope for National is that selling 215 golden visa’s will somehow re-inflate the speculative housing market in time for the 2026 election and voters will return National, ACT and NZF back in for their next wave of race baiting, Bennie bashing, Trans hatred.
Charming

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

After the weekend results joyous really think TPM will go with Labour as a partner . Many on this blog know the left better than me but I cannot see anything to say they are ready for a joint relationship
No worries Trev TPM very cool with future relationship joint with Labour
Did you not hear Winston attacking National and Act’s useless policies at his conference last weekend…
That coalition of chaos is living up to its name nicely…
Much like the ACT and Winnie First MP’s who came out swinging the moment their bottoms touched those green leather seats in the chamber. Unready and ill-prepared amateurs who came out of nowhere.
Your own internal feels clearly show how out of touch you are . Yesterday you were saying most kiwis would leave Labour by the next election. Where do you source your information from Trevor? Labour aren’t the government and governments are voted out, this is the fundamentals of politics. Stick to the fundamentals as polls are indicating this government is failing as do most people on the streets.
Agree with Clive no worries they (Lab, TPM, Greens) either work together for the greater good that is all NZers including Maori or they can sit in the back benches another three years and watch the CoC finish destroying our beautiful country.
That figure of 70,000 kiwis leaving is from November 2024. It’s probably an order of magnitude higher by now.
I tried to find an updated number but none I can see.
Why is it Stats NZ under this coalition government just stop collecting information when the numbers don’t suit their agenda. Or do they collect it just not publish it.
Much easier to control the narrative with anecdotes rather than face the facts.

Yes, well past time for Hipkins to admit defeat and start announcing some decent left of center-right policies.
Winner, was always going to be Te Patie te Moari, easy why, ignorance of knowing policy, no need, the Maori, Queenie, on the political stage for te Queenie, te Maori, not say them it was a boost, yes, matter it did, and won the day,, but fuck, is that our turnout, concert maybe with a ballot box outside, who do you wish to see, not even, register to vote, no fuck around with how or Maori, jist most our youth, don!t like either others knowing where living or others why, or others what the fuck.
So piss poor turn up, why not so much, dislike, jist why, mot our youth are switched off, from every day their switch on is like electronic vote.
Labour still needs to demonstrate they have fully ditched neoliberalism policy fantasies. Otherwise we are fucked.
The polls are showing the number of voters that have had enough of this government is growing. And the opposition is benefiting from that.
What I want to know is, will Labour do what is required to fix this mess?
Can they sufficiently lower the cost of power, rates insurance, housing and food?
Can they sufficiently increase incomes?
Can they sufficiently grow and increase exports?
Can they sufficiently reduce the flow of money heading offshore?
Can they sufficiently improve our overall health system?
Can they sufficiently improve inequality?
Can they sufficiently improve education?
Can they sufficiently address the causes of crime?
Can they sufficiently address our infrastructure and adaptation to climate change requirements?
