Prime Minister Christopher Luxon condemns Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, says he’s ‘lost the plot’

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon says his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu has “lost the plot” and has condemned attacks on Gaza.

It is among the strongest language the New Zealand leader has used against Netanyahu and comes amid reports of intense aerial attacks on Gaza after Israel’s decision to launch a fresh military operation.

Neither his Deputy Prime Minister David Seymour, nor Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters would say if they agreed with Luxon.

Both wanted to verify his remarks before commenting to media.

National know that the horror of Israel’s war crimes have reached such a level that they can’t not acknowledge it any longer.

Farrar must have done the polling and given Luxon advice to pivot.

Yes, Netanyahu has lost the pot and that is why we must recognise Palestine.

Critics argue it is a meaningless gesture and of course it is!

America will veto this, we know that, but we must force the fuckers to make that vote and if we can’t even agree on a meaningless gesture doomed to failure, then why bother lifting a finger at all?

It’s a moral duty to stand against war crimes and genocide even if an ally is the one causing it.

When even Luxon realises this, you know Israel have lost the debate.

It will take generations for Israel to repair the good will this war crime has damaged.

    • He needs to follow it up with action if he is to retain any credibility. If he’s letting his ‘depudy dawgs’ over-ride his authority he loses, again.

      • Yes! He is the PM so shooting his mouth off against Netyanyahoo in a personal capacity means less than zero. Where is the government action? He seems to want it both ways. What a mealy mouth spineless grub. No respect.

  1. He knows first hand because he has lost the plot on running NZ.We are practicing soft genocide right here and people excuse it because like Netenyahu they are racist so it’s OK. If he can see that genocide is happening call in the ambassador and expel them today and declare Palestine a nation .He also needs to remember Israel set Hammas up and funded them until hammas realized they were being used against their own .

    • No Stevie, he is trying to look tough like Winston to stave off the stab in the back that’s coming.
However if he had a spine which he hasn’t why hasn’t he used it in the last 2 years.
He is just a gutless greedy servant of the donor cabal most of whom don’t even donate to National.

  2. Fucken gutless prick should of said that months ago and I don’t think apartheid Israel will be considered an actual state in the near future! The
Bab-el-Mandeb strait apparently is closed off because of the Houthi Yemen blockade and cargo ship and the cost of shipping goods have inflated export prices particularly insurance that affects our exports. Netanyahu is an enemy to our trading nation with his continued genocide of the indigenous Palestinians

  3. Benjamin Netanyahu declares generational war on his Arab neighbours.

Netanyahu loses the plot, alright. Declares he wants a ‘Greater Israel’ encompassing much of Israeli’s neighbours territory. So much for creating peace and security in the region. Netanyahu creates the opposite of peace and security in the region.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described himself as being on a “historic and spiritual mission” and expressed strong support for a vision of a “Greater Israel” that, he claims, encompasses the occupied Palestinian territories as well as parts of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt.
In an interview with Israel’s i24 channel, reported by The Times of Israel on August 12, 2025, Netanyahu said he feels deeply connected to the concept of Greater Israel. Asked whether his mission represented the Jewish people or a broader generational purpose, he replied: “I am on a mission of generations… So, if you are asking whether I feel this is a historical and spiritual mission, the answer is yes.”….
