Supermarkets: David Seymour wants a fast-track law for new supermarkets
A new supermarket chain opening in New Zealand should be allowed to use fast-track consenting for new stores, making it easier and cheaper for them to set up shop here, Act leader David Seymour thinks.
“Nothing would send a clearer signal that New Zealand is serious than a bespoke legislative welcome mat … giving permission for, say, Walmart to set up a whole chain in one go,” he said.
Firstly – we have all see what Seymour did to school lunches, do you want him to do that to Supermarkets?
Feeding our children 3 Buck Chucks is one thing, allowing Seymour to do that to all our Supermarkets?
Come on, go Fuck yourself!

Secondly, holding up their ‘Fast Track’ abuse of power as a solution?
Again, go fuck yourself.
Thirdly, and this is the funniest part, we already have a possible solution to Supermarket competition, an Iwi option similar to 2 Degrees, but because ACT are sooooooooo racist, they could never ever consider working with Māori.
You have all seen what he did to our kids lunches, would you really be so stupid to allow ACT anywhere near the Supermarkets?
How dumb are you Kiwis?
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

I don’t see any iwi authority jumping up and down demanding the right to set up a cheap loss making supermarket chain. Why should they risk their hard won but pitiful settlements on such a risky enterprise.
I noticed one of Acts supporter attending their annual conference said he supported Act as he does not like governments pandering to a minority, yet his party is a minority and by this I think he is referring to pandering to Māori. I also noticed act supporters are predominantly Pakeha and represent the ethos of every man for himself, individualism, not good when you have an environmental disaster or an epidemic.

If iwi wanted to run a supermarket chain there is nothing stopping them .They have the land ,they have the money and they have the business accum along with home grown suppliers across the board meat, vegetables, fish
. The question needs to be asked why don’t they and it could be it is not as profitable as many of their current investments.
Iwi are obviously more aware of the commercial realities involved in running a supermarket. The Warehouse had a try and the major problem they had was getting products at a competitive price as Foodstuffs and Progressive basically prevented their suppliers from selling to the Warehouse at the same price they paid. The Commerce Commission has already stated that NZ supermarkets have high profit margins, but that would not necessarily apply to any new entrants, so it’s understandable that others are not rushing into retailing groceries.
Let’s take step back on this one and deal with the “racist” element. It never fails to disgust me to the core how racist this country has become – e.g. people referring to “brown people”! It is totally uncalled for and a horrible part of our human failing. When settlers came here and mine did too, Maori possessed the land. Of course that’s what the settlers came for to build a new life and “take” or “buy for peanuts” what they wanted with the help of Gov. Grey! Now Maori own only 5.5% of NZ land!! Our Indigenous People have a right and it is larger than the Settler’s right. Let’s not get like Aus where they hide their indigenous in the middle of their vast country, ply them with alcohol, and leave them to survive. So if you are racist, go take a long hard look in the mirror – you ‘should not’ like what you see as it is disingenuous and so very, very ugly. Then you wonder why some Maori, luckily not all, have “chips on their shoulders”. And you know what makes me laugh most, the number of ‘white’ girls out there who pump up their lips to look like dark women, who naturally have this feature but in balance, and/or paint tattoos all over their bodies, oh and don’t forget the heavy tanning! OMG how dimwitted you are!
