Confidence in New Zealand’s Hard Right Government collapses to unseen before levels

Wow this is blisteringly bad for National, ACT and NZF, unseen before collapse in confidence…

Ratings of government performance hit new low – Ipsos survey

New Zealanders have given the government a rating of 4.2 out of 10 in the latest Ipsos Issues Monitor survey, the lowest on record since it started measuring in mid-2017.

Falling concern about cost of living/inflation – down five percentage points to 50 percent, the lowest in three years – appears not to have done enough to buoy government popularity.

The Ipsos New Zealand survey released to RNZ was carried out between 24 February and 2 March, and asked 1002 New Zealanders what they thought were the top three most important issues facing the country today.

Health is still the second-biggest concern – its rating unchanged at 41 percent, despite an increase in concern among older New Zealanders.

Crime has dropped from 3rd (27 percent) to 5th (25 percent), overtaken by the economy (30 percent) and housing (27 percent).

…IPSOS ain’t no slouch, they are considered one of the best polling companies around, if they say the plunge run confidence is this steep, I think we best believe them.

As TDB was warning you at the last election, National, ACT and NZF don’t have any actual policy other than deregulating their donors interests and privatising it back to them.

Add in the culture war revenge fantasies and all the have are Austerity Budgets that bowwrow billions for tax cuts while hollowing out public services.

New Zealanders aren’t stupid!

They may have been angry post Covid at Labour and voted in bitterness, but there is a shocking realisation of what that actually means when you have a leader as weak as Luxon getting played by extremists like Winston and David.

The malice is what has surprised voters, the cavalier rich prick arrogance ain’t our bag baby and the country is disgusted by the actions of National, ACT and NZF.

National will roll Luxon by July.

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

  1. When Slimemore thinks bagging doctors and suppression of their speech is a good thing and with his full arrogance on display it is no surprise this Coc is going done the gurgler.

They hypocrisy of the free speech party.

  2. Can’t wait for this bunch of scabs to be gone they are destroying the fabric of our country and that is putting it lightly

    • I don’t think it’s a matter of getting them out to vote. More it’s a matter of who just does not give a fuck. Campaign promises mean nothing after an election. Blaming the previous government for the state of the budget is just way worn out.

    • Luxon, Seymour, Peters are all legends….in there own minds..

      …and they are absolute masters….of self praise…

…Which is well known to be …no recommendation.

  3. Now we also find that Slymore knew about the impending Libelle collapse, told the PM, but nobody bothered to tell Stanford who found out when she read the news. This went on for days. Smacks of incompetence from Sly and the PM, and also misogynism. I don’t think she’s the most wonderful Minister of Education but Sly and Luxury Luxon have been undermining her right from the start.
We don’t like either of them. Erica. Put them both on the naughty step and leave them there for 5 days.

Not one ministry is safe from interference from nosy Seymour. Jack of all trades, Master of none.
Pokes his nose in, pushing his own agenda and can’t even get that right.
Name drops famous humanitarians saying they’d be Act voters. What utter rubbish.
Dementia seems to be rife on the right.

  4. The problem is that Chris Luxon is very negative, whiny and inward looking. Just seeing himself in a mirror has to be a pretty catastrophic sort of experience, catapulting him into his pj’s. Neighbour had an elderly aunt who got that way too.

    • God, thanks Pip, I needed a laugh this afternoon.
I was feeling negative, whiny and inward looking myself, but you’ve shone a light in the dark. Probably reflecting off a bald pate somewhere.

    • I am happiest when I am in my pj’s and thought that was a good thing. You’ve got me worried now Pip.

      • Never fear Peter.
OUR pj’s are completely harmless. It’s those exy xmas ones that can lead you into a strange world where you might encounter sorted but not nice, people.

  5. A person who describes as others as “bottom-feeders “ and who also describes the voters generally as being “very negative, whiny and inward-looking”, is not Prime Ministerial material, IMO. When he tells them to “go out there and have more babies” it’s Orwell’s Animal Farm playing out right here in New Zealand, IMO. Insulting people then expecting them to support him is unrealistic.
