Israel just wants the hostages back. They obviously have decided that if they increase the pain ( by bombing and blockade) on the Palestinians they will release the hostages. Well, what is happening in Palestine in the second biggest tragedy I have ever seen in my lifetime. But the single biggest tragedy, one that I have grown tired of fighting against is ideology – blind devotion to ideology. What ideology does is skew a tragedy to fit the ideology, rather than allowing us to examine the tragedy, fully, in an effort to learn and grow, therefore prevent a tragedy from ever happening again. Ideology blocks the learning and understanding process – dead in its tracks.
