As fighting in Gaza stops, Israel launches major military campaign in West Bank

The Israeli military killed at least 10 Palestinians, including a child, in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday as its prime minister announced the start of a “large-scale military operation” in the restive city of Jenin – just two days after the Gaza ceasefire came into effect.

Israel’s security cabinet launched the military offensive – which involved the Israeli military, police and Shin Bet security agency – to “eradicate terrorism in Jenin,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement. The operation is called “Iron Wall,” he said.

In response, Hamas issued a statement calling for “people in the West Bank and its revolutionary youth to mobilize and escalate the clash with the occupation army at all points of contact with it.”

My fear is that Netanyahu needs constant escalation to remain in power.

My fear is that the militant hawk part of Israel sees the Hamas October 7th attack as a means to justify annexation of The West Bank.

My fear is that the Gaza ‘ceasefire’ has been agreed to so that the IDF can focus military resources on The West Bank.

Mt fear is that Israel are instigating conflict in the West Bank to justify a mass deportation program.

My fear is Trump will allow Netanyahu to do this once some violence is caused by IDF brutality.

My fear is that Gaza is just the beginning.

What Western morality will tolerate for the war crimes of an ally.

This is genocide…

…the West has lost any moral high ground it ever had by allowing Israel and America to conduct a genocide with zero consequences.

Again, our morality, our understanding, is largely shaped by what our Govt and the mainstream media has to say, or does not have to say, about this situation or any given situation for that matter. The few of us that are informed, are largely against these crimes, the rest of us, the vast majority of us, are happy to go along with what our pollies and media has to say, hence, this now expanding genocide.

    Again, to keep it simple, if we don’t nip a problem in the bud, it’ll just grow and grow thereafter, Talk about a prime, yet horrid example of this taking place right before our very eyes, here now.

    • While I agree with you about the MSM influencing what many think about Israel’s actions as the usual suspects on this site show even when they are exposed to genuine evidence of the evil things that Israel does they reject that knowledge. There is a significant part of the population who think Jew good, Arab bad and they only see the world through those lenses so even when they learn about the true situation they reject that knowledge because it doesn’t confirm with what they want to believe.

      • You have a point, for sure, however, the usually suspects here, indeed, all of us here, have an interest in politics, but together, we are just a tiny minority compared to the majority of people whom only have a passing interest in politics, at best. This, the majority of people, are the one’s most prone to headline news/ the official Govt line, typically originating from, mainstream news. Most people, including some of us, never learn about the truth of a given situation and this is because, in my view, most situations are advantageous to big money interests and or their political/media lackeys, hence we are not meant to know cos, we the people, will put a halt to their gravely train in an instance, if enough of us ever did. The moneyed crowd know this, hence why, most people are ignorant or ill-informed, and or, as you point out, cling to their viewpoint, no matter what. But again, to your point, you are speaking of a minority within an already small grouping, so its a point, but a minor point relative to MSM’s reach and influence over our entire populace.

    What’s secret about it. Ben Gurion Israel’s first prime minister set out the vision of Greater Israel to include Sinai, Gaza, West Bank, Transjordan, Syria and a Christian Lebanon.

  5. There are many Israelis and jews against this around the world but they have no choice with a militant ultra-nationalist govt in power.
